Well I am gonna use it mainly outside the house(garden/balcony) and I have power there...So I just need a fast laptop with good specs...Power usage is less important...

I also noticed ACER, with 17 inch TFT(for same price as this one) but I heard many many horror stories about Acer...

I'm not going to do your laptop research for you.. I am somewhat familiar with notebook prices, having just bought a new one myself.. and for 1,681.79 USD I'm not blown away by that deal.

it doesn't have wide screen (it rocks, trust me) and the video card has shared memory which sucks... other than this it's ok

I have a toshiba m35-s320, bought it a month ago, it rocks.

That one sounds a little better I think.. from what I could gather, not speaking the language.

Widescreen is nice to have.. I have it on mine. that extra inch or so of space is handy on the smaller sized laptop screen.
