Good luck with finding someone who will work well and hard

I'm curious, how much does a good sales rep earn a year? ( I know you're not offering a salary, but I would like to know what the average yearly or monthly income is)

Media is a cool guy and always treats people with respect, stop riding his ass just because he's affiliated with pimpdog. I used to get the same crap and it drove me nuts.

Good luck finding someone!

Sort of interesting how being an ass even effects your coworkers. Pretty neat strategy good old Pimpdog has.

Yes, this position pays more than the usual payout, between $2.50-$3 per sale depending on volume of accounts you handle and get to send traffic.
Not interested personally - but just to help clarify for those that might be.... is that $2.50-$3 per sale one time? or recurring with the life of each sale?

... if its recurring, then this definitely could be a fair and profitable opportunity for all parties.

This whole performance-based sales reps thing is a good idea, but in my opinion it needs to be developed more..... as of now I don't see enough incentive for the "sales rep"

Among many other things, a good sales rep gets out the company name.... and that usually is not attached to a tacky referral code.

But under this system simply getting out the name doesn't reward the sales rep :/

I've got ideas on how it's going to be handled.. but Im not discussing it in a public forum.. That would be stupid... Those who get hired will get the rundown...

I wouldn't discuss it either.... coming up with a good system is a tough nut to crack that you don't want to make available for others to copy....

So long as people know this is a filterting process for bigger and better things then I suppose it's alright..... although I'm not sure that was conveyed so well in the original post

So far we've had a decent ammount of people contact me regarding these positions.. We would like to see more people apply if you have not already..

I will be waiting a little while longer (2-3 days) before I stop accepting resumes, and I start choosing people for the spots..

Media,

Actually I wasn't being sarcastic at all, I just didn't read the part that you guys paid a higher %. I respect your site and push your program even if I don't use your referrer url. You guys have been solid for me since I started pushing you guys a while back.

This is definitely a great opportunity for webmasters that offer more value to their referrals. Good going and best of luck, guys!

Thanks for this post.. It's amazing the sarcasm I get from some people I thought were pretty cool people and respect..

Yes, this position pays more than the usual payout, between $2.50-$3 per sale depending on volume of accounts you handle and get to send traffic.

And if it is a new account that you are referring you will also get the bonus for referring the webmaster.

But at the same time you are not just participating in referring webmasters, you are making deals and setting things up.. You are dealing with people one on one.. And if you set us up witha new company lets say that we can do business with exit wise, you could potentially get the referrals at both companies, which would be an even greater bonus.

All these sarcastic ass remarks are not called for.. And I appreciate anyone who inquires about this oppertunity.

Epic Cash

over the past 12 months I have seen lots of companies trying something like this...

I think it might appeal to a webmaster age 19 and under
or one on one of the Newbie boards... I seriously doubt
an experienced webmaster will take any time to promote
anyone's program on a commission only basis...

in a normal sales situation - with a good sales person,
good products, and someone with a large CI - it could
work - BUT - why would a good sales person with a large
CI put their efforts into a COMMISSION ONLY situation -
when it is just to damn easy for a company to terminate
a situation after they burn through the salespersons CI...

that same sales person could take all they have to offer
and go to a company that pays for a quality promoters
TIME and rewards their success with the commission
bonuses...

you get what you pay for in life...

commissions are NOT pay...
commissions are a bonus... a bonus for hard work...

if a company doesn't value a promoters efforts,
reputation, loyalty and commitment to a programs
success - then a program with management like that
doesn't deserve to (and won't) survive in the long run...

oh and did I mention - - - you get what you pay for...
and commissions are NOT pay...
so if you are paying nothing... that's exactly what you'll
get...

oh and media
this is not directed at you personally - but at all programs
that have the mentality that they can promise a gazillion
in commission only based compensation programs for
results...

this isn't car sales...

in car sales the customer comes to the lot...

in adult internet - the marketer has to FIND the customer...
and that... that my friend takes tiime that is gone forever...

can you tell I'm grumpy tonight ??
