If my billing company didn't get the 900 payments from the telco, we would probably pay each webmaster one million dollars for the inconvenience. Sarcasm aside, its very easy to SAY that your not-yet-live billing company would pay webmasters on those 900 charges (even though you would have been unable to collect). But when it comes right down to it, i don't think any start up processor with any decent amount of volume in those type of sales would have "made good". On the other hand... in Ibill's situation I have to agree with Quiet that it was a bad move/decision on their part. Ibill was #1 for many, many years and has made a considerable amount of money off the webmasters they processed for. Even though Ibill probably had zero liability to pay for the uncollected web900 revenues, it would have probably been a good marketing decision to do so. If they consider all the accounts they lost by not settling the web900 balances (that Ibill probably wasn't really liable for) and all the negative publicity they got when smaller billing companies who haven't been around nearly as long were paying ( ![]() I just think if I ran the Ibill PR machine I would have definitely looked a little closer at the angle of letting everyone know that they don't HAVE to pay on the web900, but because of long standing business relationships and everything else... we're still going to pay you off & take the hit ourselves. Hell, it would probably STILL be a good idea.... they could say "New management of the New Ibill has decided to settle old unpaid web900 balances..." with an explaination that they themselves still haven't been paid for them of course. With all the adult forums out there right now, you probably couldn't buy better exposure (figure cost of running banner ads for 12 months everywhere vs paying web900 and having webmasters telling people how honorable Ibill is etc) Hey Lightspeed... If you don't mind sharing what was your unpaid web900 balance? (I intentionally say unpaid, not owed -- I don't really feel Ibill OWES it, but that it would have been smart to PAY it anyway.) |

I guess the real question is -- Did MCI collect the revenues?
If MCI collected them then shouldn't Ibill be entitled to them? Or did MCI grab the last payment owed to Ibill as some sort of penalty? Hmm... or did MCI go bankrupt? edit: (It was MCI wasn't it??) |

All the guys here who still love Ibill should do this test and then re post the results.
Set up your join page with CCbill, Epoch and Ibill. When you have 1000 members join through each processor compare the refunds and charge backs for each, i think you will find like us and others who have posted on GFY that Ibills refund levels and charge backs are very, very high compared to the others. Next week we are removing all Ibill buttons from all our sites and advise anyone serious about this business to do the same. If you are still using Ibill you owe it to yourself to at least try CCbill and Epoch Just the customer support alone is reason to drop Ibill like a sack full of shit ! |

I've been getting strange e-mails from reps all year and when I checked, my rebills were 0. I really don't know where the rebills went that I was paying $750 a year to collect. Nohahahaha called. ![]() |

"Nohahahaha called me."
Should read; "I was not called by anyone at the company." Weird board stuff. ![]() |
