I can't sell these on eBay because of something called the "Downloadable Media Policy" which the only guy who is successfully selling WPG immediately reports me to eBay compliance to eliminate his competition. (I think he actually works for eBay, but I can't prove it)

The auctions aren't in violation of this policy because the policy mostly addresses selling links to shareware that you could otherwise find yourself for free. But I have been fighting with ebay for 5 weeks about this. They can't get it through their heads that I am selling the license code to unlock the product, not the link to download their shareware.

I can't get a response from them other than autoresponders, and when I tried calling - the girl on the phone hung up on me after refusing to transfer me to compliance and refusing to let me talk with her supervisor. And they keep deleting my auctions without even bothering to look at them to see that I am not violating this policy.

I hate it when companies get so big they cease to care about customer service anymore.

I have two unregistered keys left that I bought from WPG. One is for Pro and one is for standard.

PRO goes for $349 and I am selling it for $175.
STD goes for $149 and I am selling it for $75.

That's 1/2 off. I just want rid of the things and I am selling them for what I paid for the things.

I know WPG gets a lot of flack, but I use it for their reporting tools and the page critic and don't know what all the fuss is about. I think it works great for that. I know a real webmaster doesn't need the cheezy shit like the upload manager or the submission tools - but the rest is pretty damn cool if you ask me.

Standard will do 5 websites and Pro does unlimited. Those are the only differences. If you need more info, go look at their website or download the trial.

If anyone wants to come in here and thrash me for putting this on the board, go ahead - I probably need it bumped anyway... but I need to get rid of these things and they aren't doing anyone any good sitting in my inbox unregistered.

1. Why not just sell them back to 1st place. You'd get what you paid for it back (if you are under 60 days that is).
Actually I would get MORE doing it that way. I bought them for about 48% off and am selling them for 50% off. But before I go that route, I want to give my fellow GFY'ers a shot at a really good deal. I doubt anyone has ever sold them for this price, nor are they likely to ever again.

2. Fucking newbie. Get a life.

Origionally, I was ChrisDavis - then I realized a couple of months later that I would never be cool until I became "Scarab". So I am, go GFY bitch. Just because I don't have 30K posts doesn't make me a newbie. I read a lot and I say little. (at most you can call me a lurker) Send me your REAL email addy next time or post smart-ass comments in here, pussy.

Yeah that about averages the responses you get from some folks in here!!

Good deal on the webpostiongold though, I look at using it a while back then decided against!! done pretty well with just learning and testing everything!!

The question is - is webpositiongold any good? I've read conflicting reports about it!!

It is good for some stuff. Some of the features I don't use and others I do...

The Good
The reporter saves me time finding where I rank on certain pages and sites for specific keywords and phrases I am targeting, rather than looking them up. It keeps track of where I was too, so I can see when it fell. And you can schedule it to run reports slowly and at night so you don't piss Google (or any others) off and get "search-banned" for sending too many requests all at once.

Page critic is cool too because it looks at the page in question and compares aspects of it to the top 5 averages on whatever engine I am optomizing for - then it can compare it to the top X number of other sites that are already ranking for that keyword.

So if I am targeting "Christian Singles" I can get a report on what my site looks like compared to others (like keyword denisty, weight, prominance in the header, link text, body, alt text, etc.) that are already top-listed for that.

So yeah, I like it. It saves me time. Especially since the "Florida update" on Google.

The Bad
It also has a page genertor that sucks, an upload manager that is completely useless to me since I host internally, and an auto-submitter that scares the hell out of me (I think hand-submissions are the only way to go).
