British Prime Minister Tony Blair, after a historic meeting with Libyan strongman Moammar Gadhafi, said the former North African pariah state could become an important partner in the war on terror as it fulfills a pledge to scrap weapons of mass destruction.

They're using Libya as propaganda that dude hardly had shit and what he had wasn't weaponize and he had no means to distribute it. He had less than Saddam Hussien and we all know he didn't have shit. All that happened is Libya wanted sanctions removed and money and they're getting it and our bullshit government is touting it as some real accomplishment.

Libya is in it for the money, and because of him giving up some small bullshit we're all up his ass and talking to him inviting him over and dropping sanctions and ready to give him money.

It goes to show the incompetence of politicians. If anything both of those fuckers should be locked up or better yet dead for what they do to their countries, because neither was much of a threat to us.

You keep talking about what Libya had, so I assume you are very knowledgeable in their weapon inventory?

What Chemical and Biological weapons did they have, what quantities? are they all accounted for?

Where were they produced?, where did they procure the materials for these weapons? where were they stored?

Did they ever attempt to purchase nuclear materials and/or weapons?

I think you should leave the threat assessment of other countries to the intelligence analyst's, who have access to all the data, it's evidently serious enough for multiple countries to be concerned about their weapon program.

You sure missed the point of everything I said. Name me some countries in the world that don't want to get nuclear weapons while you're at it. That's a lame fucking arguement, saying someone wants to get something doesn't really mean shit. It's about how close they are to getting and Libya wasn't remotely close. As I recall their largest stockpile of chem weapons was mustard gas and they really didn't have a means to deliver the shit in range out of their country barely. When was the last big mustard gas terror attack that you remember genius? You keep sucking his ass for handing over not much of anything in return for no sanctions and cash, I think the guy should be locked up or dead. No negotiations on that one.

Trust me the people of the UK remember Pam Am ..afterall if happened over this country and many british people were on the plane and killed on the ground. Not only that but a British police woman was killed in London by Lybians. So, don't think it is the UK not caring. Very far from it.

In addition to that Gadhafi was responsible for me having nightmarea about being killed in the third grade.

However, that said, if you don't bring them in from the cold they become more of a threat.

mustard gas was used in the Iraq-Iran war 1984-1988, also was one weapon in a large chemical warefare cocktail used against the kurds in 1988.

Did they ever sell or lose any of their stockpile?

I don't think either leaders would have given up, so it's hard for either to be "locked up or dead"

The only reason they were able to use that weaponized is because we helped them do so. CIA provided them coordinates and we cleared the way for foreign countries to provide them missles to use it in that we paid for.

while you're correct that we did help their weapons program, it is likely they would have been able to produce it without our help, Iraq has very capable scientists, their whole nuclear weapon program was done without any of our direct help (they did use the manhatten project as a blueprint) these guys are not from the stone age, they are very capable at producing weapons without the assistance of the world.
