anyone got any sales/closing techniques books to recommend?
or more into the psychology? I've read a few good ones, I'd recommend Influence : The Psychology of Persuasion

Books can't teach you how to close a deal. Closing deals can.

Its all from experience and practice. Books are great for teching you the basics, but nothing beats real world experience.

well obviously nothing beats experience (and I've had enough), however I like to actually read about *why* people do the things they do as well - just a personal thing, also no matter what your experience you can always learn from someone else. Until recently I haven't bothered reading about it as it seemed very door to door salesmanish/sales 101, and I've done fine so far, but i've found the "psychology of persuasion"a very interesting read and now I want more. Perhaps my thread title was a little misleading.
