There's a difference between a company saying "they did it for the protection of their affiliates" and saying "our affiliates are protected"... I think most, at least EpicCash and Playboy did, said the latter of the two...

There just balancing their risk. Acacia could still loose the case and playboy wont pay a cent. If they win, then they don't go back 2 years since they already have an agreement.

If you and other companies want to bend over and take it in the ass from extortionists, knockk yourselves out. My position is that I won't promote companies that settle, and that's the way it is. Spin it any way you want, bitch and attack those who support the fight rather than the surrender..... no skin off my ass.

But just know..... if 100 companies had of put up $5000 each for a defense fund, there is no law firm in the country that would turn down $500K and you would all have gotten a major representation in court.

Major.

Huge.

There ARE companies that have banded together to fight. Lens has other programs that he has more control over, and he has said he is fighting. Major applause for that news.

Don't like my point of view? ha ha.... well that's really your tough shit now isn't it? :D

Pimptrash will now post under me and chirp his usual bullshit about me.

Thank you.

The companies that settled with Acacia are entitled to do so. But they know as well as everyone else that someone has to stop Acacia. If not, Acacia will be back and there will be more Acacias.

So while acting in their own interests, they also acted against the interests of the industry as a whole.

I can choose to react to that or not, but to me it is a no-brainer. There are some good sponsors who have settled with Acacia, but none which are any better than many others. Therefore why support those who acted selfishly when I can at zero cost to myself and little or no effort, work with sponsors who haven't gone that route?

For the record, I never said anything when you settled, or when anyone settled.

Business is business. I hate Acacia as much as the next person but I'm in no position to question your business decisions in this matter.

Nice words - I am still surprised these Companies who have signed, do not have the ability to work out how to get out of this - To me, many have signed simply to hedge their bets - Sign for a low payment out now and take some flack - If Acacia goes down, they lose little, If Acacia wins, they gain loads with cheap licences - A business descision!

Hopefully, when Acacia goes down - Every fucking webmaster will look at those who signed and understand their "business descisions" were solely based on selfishness. All this crap about "our partners" Utter shit.

you dont know the whole deal, they could be paying peanuts now to settle, the use of the Playboy name in Acacia's press release is sure to drive the value of the stock up. So there is alot of bargaing power there.

People arent Stupid here.

Now when the patent gets invalidated due to the companies that do stand up and fight this gallant battle

The stock will crash, heads will role and Playboy will just write it off as an Expense.

Why do you think Acacia divested itself into subdivisions?

Not much to add to that.... except that if I see a representative on GFY from Playboy, and he/she starts spouting the kind of mindless shit that the epiccash crew tried to pass off on everyone, I certainly WILL take the opportunity to let them know what the score really is.

Show me to a thread where such a rep is posting.

And to Trey..... I don't know what you've said on this thread except where people quoted you, but just know this: The fact of the matter between you and I is this:

I did NOT single out epictrash over the acacia issue. I posted the complete list of those that settled numerous times, and whenever I saw an admin from one of those companies attempting to pull BS over everyone's eyes you bet I got in their face a bit. It is a hot issue and you know it.

So what if I gave you a hard time.... big fucking deal. So did a lot of people. You KNEW you would get some flack over your decision going into all this. You knew it.

...yet you chose to single ME out and attack me out of nothing more than pure maliciousness, and you continue to post blatent BS about me on this and other boards, your comments not even containing a shred of factual information on what you are attempting to trash me for. Why? ... all because I had a rather serious discussion with you over your decision to settle, and I asked some pointed questions. Cry me a river.

Well, that and the fact that you buy into idle gossip hook line and sinker. You must be a lifetime subscriber to the National Inquisitor as well, but that's a whole other story.

Trey.... get over me. The only reason I continue to give you a hard time now is because your arrogant little mouth has put you on my 'dipshits that need a bitchslap' list. Start being a bit more sensible in the way you talk to me and you'll get the same in return. Does that make sense mister big player?

Nevermind, you're still on ignore here. Run your mouth as you need to.
