What famous people have you met

I've met a few pretty famous people, a dozen or so NHL players, Nazareth, Peter Frampton, Dennis Franz (NYPD Blue), Gallagher (the comedian that smashes stuff), talked to Country Joe McDonald on the phone, corresponded with Warren Buffett through mail a few times. That's all I can think of right now, I am pretty sure there's a few more. Your turn.

I've met a few famous football players here in Hawaii when they were in town for the Pro Bowl, but I am not a big football fan so I didn't know who they were. More interested in the women they had with them.

I've never thought it was a big deal to meet anyone, they should realize it's a big deal to meet me. But yeah I've known quite a few people in the grand scheme of things, I just never really cared, maybe that's why they let me hang around more.

BIll Gates used to be pretty easy to get in touch with, he would eat at GodFather's pizza (like Pizza Hut) all the time. Until he started getting death threats.

Alice Cooper, Linda Carter, that dude that played in the 'Ernest' movies, and quite a few others...

All just normal people, nothing special.

Except for Alice I guess lol. If it wasn't for the makeup you'd think him a professor or somthing lol

Nope, it's the truth. It wasn't like last week or anything, it was probably in the late 80s/early 90s. He was still rich, but not as rich as he is now.

Lady Di (back in 83 when she was princess Di), Prince Charles
Too-Short
Lemmy (motorhead)
Digital Underground
Ron Jeremy
Andrew Dice Clay
Peter North
Entire West Indian Cricket team back in 84 when they were unbeatable (not that too many US readers would know much about that)

I met Rico (WWE wrestler), he stayed at the same hotel as us, he was REALLY cool and down to Earth.

I know, I know, it's not much, but that's all that I've got. Maybe I should move to Cali, ha ha ha.

i know some athletes because I went to school with them at UNC - like Julious Peppers and Vince Carter. Met Jerry Stackhouse at a football game. On my honeymoon the guy that played the father in "Something about Mary" asked me for a cigarette.

Nope, that is my point exactly. New York is the antithesis of LA. No one cares, so you might meet Robert DeNiro, at the corner market buying a yoo hoo ;)

Also, I had a friend in College who interned for Interview magazine. That whole wacked out crowd from Andy Warhols factory had all kinds of crazy parties. We always went because we were poor college students and could get free drinks/food!

I met George Clooney after that old dude from SpinCity tapped him on the shoulder to check out my girlfriend and I gave them the death-stare. He's a really cool, down-to-earth guy...and MUCH smaller than he appears on TV.

I've run into Bruce Springstein in the town I live in quite a few times, never walked up and approached him. He stops in downtown over here regularly but everyone respects him enough not to make a big deal about it. But he was at my friend's fathers party once a few years ago and I did introduce myself.

Other than that Brooks Robinson, the guy who played Chewbacca, Roy Rogers, and a collection of other fringe celebs

Back in the 70s I ran a limo business in London and met a long list of well-known people, some briefly, some - as different as Frank Sinatra and Keith Moon - I spent a lot of time with.

The picture that stays with me most from then, was being at one of the VIP suites at Heathrow and watching Prince Faisal of Saudi Arabia and Adnan Khashoggi, finishing up some business and walking to their 'planes: each had his own private 747.

That scene made my previous ideas about wealth seem a little naive
