One of the best movies ever in my book. I love the final 5 minutes... the fight in that huge 1900s style house, Roy's death scene must be one of the best in the entire history of film. Deckard coming home & grabbing Rachel to flee... I love it.

One of the best sci-fi movies ever made.......an incredible journey!
Leaves films like "Star Wars" way way back in the dust as those movies are more for mere entertainment and hardly intellectual: Blade Runner has some real intellectual teeth to it.......plus its entertaining and visually stunning.......far more representative of what the future may look and feel like than almost any sci-fi movie going.......... Rent it or watch it or buy it! |

Cool movie. The classic of cuberpunk. Rutger Hauer was awesome in that final scene. But I did not liked the "directors cut" which seems to be on DVDs everywhere. Original was better with me.
BTW, the book is completelly different. Other ideas, other accentes. Movie is much better.

My list of Blade Runner's redeeming qualities:
1. For a cheesy Sci-Fi flick from 1981, the futuristic city looked pretty cool. 2. It has Harrison Ford (I don't care what you say, Harrison Ford is COOL) 3. There were at least 2 instances of the Atari logo in big neon lights. 4. Topless Replicant Chick With A Snake 5. Midgets Who Vandalize Police Cars |

I'll just pointlessly add my
that Bladerunner is incredible, awesome, visionary, what people mean when they talk about a "seminal" film. |

As that Edward James Olmos character goes "Pity she will not live... but then, who does?" that's another classic point in this movie... after he throws Deckard back his gun and heads back to his spinner craft.

Great flick! One of the original Sci-fi techno thrillers with a great plot and a great group of actors. I watched it when it originally came out and it kicked major ass! Watch Tron as well, another great sci fi flick.

Fucking top movie. The directors cut gets rid of the horrible Harrison Ford voiceover and shows the movie as it should have been.
By the way Harrison Ford has stated he will never talk about the movie and will not do interviews about it or anything. Don't know what upset him. Anyone have any ideas? |

My advice to anyone who loves sci-fi? Watch movies like Bladerunner if you want to really be entertained and be blown away & almost convinced you are entering the world of the future. |

An entire generation of Sci-Fi movies in the 80s and 90s would be unthinkable without Bladerunner paving the ground.
And yes, Deckard is a replicant. He won't live and neither will Rachel. That's why they flee.
