What is this!??

This is causing a TONNE of buzz in the Science community regarding Mars. NASA has no released any information on this yet....

Notice in the horizon you'll see a black dot. When enlarged you'll determine that it has some structure to it. Here's a low quality close-up.

Wierd stuff. What is everyone's thoughts? A problem with a multi-million dollar camera which only shows up in 1 picture? UFO? I dunno...

dust on the lens would not be that sharp. Chances are you wouldn't see it.

I say it's some bad RAM or the like. Was there a CRC error in the transmission?
