I just saw her on some TV entertaiment show and she was just that big..

Seriously 70lbs is no big deal, especially if this is her first pregnancy.
Plus with the doctors treating you like you're sick and diseased rather than just pregnant, and telling you that you should lay down as much as possible and not move an inch, it's easy to gain that much weight.

It's MUCH better for pregnant women to remain normally active during their pregnancies, it keeps the extra weight off and doesn't put them in the bad position of trying to deliver a baby with muscles that haven't been used in 9 months and have gone soft.

and pregnancy is a time when women worry about everything...one day they worry that they have gained too much weight and the next they worry that they haven't gained enough. i think we should let her be a happy new mom and the weight will come off in time. in the bigger scheme of things it's not that important anyway

We just had that GE 4-D Ultrasound done and they put the baby at 5 1/2 lbs.

Cool device they use. Gave us 45 pics on a CD and 45 minutes wirth of video showing the procedure. Looks just like the baby when it's born.

I don't have mine available but here is an example.

You think a woman actually LOOSES all the weight the second the baby comes out??? I don't see anywhere it says she gained the weight AFTER, but regardless does it matter? I know I wasn't allowed to move around or excersize for 8 months after each of my other children because I had c-sections and would hemorage.
