In my opinion, there are different 'somebodies' in this biz:
1. Those who are popular, know everyone, go to all the conventions, parties, ect. Popularity does not always mean financial success or any great accomplishment and alot of these people only have the boards as their claim to fame. 2. Those who are financially succesful and accomplished, are pillars in the industry, and might not be on a first name basis with everyone and/or popular and are more reserved/low key. 3. A few that that are #1 and #2 from above. It's like drawing comparisons to high school..you had the nerds, the popular cheerleaders, and a few that combined brains, beauty and popularity.
