isn't branding amazing

the most asinine words, can be turned into a household name (at least within certain boundaries). just pound it into their heads. day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year

Yahoo, Google, and Amazon come to mind as names that meant nothing at one time, now they're billion dollar brands

Amazing

Hey quiet forgot to mention in my email yesterday that I have a company that sells technology to Burton & others to do dye-sublimation imprinting onto snowboards. How about starting your own line?

Branding is totally amazing.

I got hooked in my teens. A friend of my fathers was having a hard time coming up with a catchy name for one of his new clothing lines. I came up with one the guy loved. The line sold great and I remember being in a department store and seeing racks full of the dresses with the name I created on the label and I was completely jazzed beyond belief. That was the coolest feeling to see it everywhere.

On the flip side, brand names can become so hahahahahaded in our vocabulary that they become generic instead of referring to the actual brand only. Coke, Band-aid and Kleenex are examples.

Is branding important when you are bootstrapping?
