This is traffic that were sent toward amateurpages.com - site of adult.com

Before about 10/02/2003 amateurpages.com were charging $29.95 per month for subscription and they were operating $71% revshare program where the number of sales were being tracked by a third party - ibill.com

The traffic were being sent from one traffic domain name. The same domain - the same traffic valume - the same traffic quality.

When stats were being tracked by ibill.com - the third party and site's subscription was $29.95 per month the traffic converted toan average of 6 sales per day (not sure of the exact ration, see screenshots).

Then when Visa 1% came up, they changed the price of the subscription from $29.95 to $9.95, so they get lover chargeback ratio. They changed the program policy from 71% revshare to $25 per sign up. And they started to track sales themselves.

Since the subscription price dropped, the same traffic had to generate more sign ups and it probably did. However as per adult.com statistics it generates an average of 1 sign up per day.

Once they started tracking the statistics, the sales dropped 6x times(?) altho the price for subscription was heavily rediced.

Obvious shaving.

Yes you would -think- you would get more signups, assuming what you say is true about your traffic consistency, but there's a lot of other variables.

Do you think it's ok to convert 20,281 uniques to 8 sign ups when the traffic is being just redirected from another adult domain like in this case - www.10dollargirls.com - a simple traffic redirection of a highly targeted traffic ? Are these convertions ok with you?

It does look like your traffic from 1-5 to 1-7 has a problem, I'm not sure if our engineers fucked something up while we all were in Vegas. We just changed stats servers on Monday, so I hope they're aren't problems with stats. We shouldn't do that when we're out of town. Or maybe it's a fluke.

If you contact me next week when I get back, I'll look into it. I hope there's not a fuckup on the system, we are adding the PB Cash to the new stats system, so that may be it.

The stats from August are from a different processor and a different period. They are from trails and rebills, and your second stats are non-trials and a very limited time period.

Mlin, have you considered the thought that the surfers are reacting badly to the price change?

Normally you would think that surfers would jump at something that was priced so much lower, but that's not always true. An overwhelming majority of the public associates price with value.

A $30 site gives the impression that it really must kick ass inside to be priced so high. There must be tons of content in there and live video and all kinds of things that only the most expensive sites have.

A $10 site, on the other hand, gives the impression that it's so cheap because there isn't shit inside. Surfers doubt it based simply on the price, they think it's a rip-off. They expect to go inside and find 10 photo sets and a thousand attempts at getting them to pay more money for the really good stuff.

I'm not sure of this so don't take my word for it, when the $10 program started people pointed out that there are prechecked cross-sales that you don't get credit for, again i don't know if it's the case with adult's program or a similar $10 program.

if that's like that you feel the impact in $$$ but the sponsor doesn't since they have the difference covered with the cross/upsells.

I can understand your concern , but as you changed programs ( and ads ) for the amateurpages site, a 1/6 drop isnt unheard of, if i were you , first off i would have contacted lensman privately and made sure it wasnt a technical glitch, second i would have found a way to possibly continue using the old ad, Third if the ratio's drop , time to switch sponsors/sites.

Dont get me wrong i understand the feeling , the traffic is coming from the same places but the ratio's get worse and worse. Then its time to switch up.

I notice you have left out a gap in the stats ? perhaps you could shed light on this time period and why it was left out ? Its almost as if you chose the best of times and the worst of times to show us ?

First things first though , you should have contacted the sponsor first and then if your questions were not answered post away with your concerns.

Yes it was among the domains that were being redirected to AP and we have a printed permission from adult.com to use that typo.
It's been taken down by us as we no longer plan participating in their shaving program.
Other domains that were promoting AP were pointed toward other sponsors.
Domains that promote their 10 dollar sites will be repointed tomorrow as there are many domains to repoint.
