Actually, to me... a REAL HERO is someone who WILLINGLY puts themselves in danger to save another... not someone ordered to do so.

Please, I am not trying to bash our military, I think they are doing a great job and I would hate to be one of them right now. But they are there under orders of a man sitting in his comfy chair in his warm office. Ordered to fight a war that should not be fought. Dying for nothing. Saddam was never a real threat to us... if he was, Iraq would have attacked us, not some flakey trrorist group.

The article does not contain any information that I was not aware of...and I disagree by 180 degrees with your statement "This war is our fault"...other than in the sense that we launched the invasion...but with many solid and sound reasons to do so. When Iraq is reasonably stabilized...we may very well launch another invasion...as several more countries need a regime change.

To put it on a personal level...I do what I perceive will be to my benefit...if you develop a dislike for what I do and that dislike grows into hatred...I am not going to stop what I am doing because you don't like what I am doing...instead if I perceive that you are plotting to stop me from doing what I am doing...I am going to make every effort to pre-emptively take you down.

My whole point being..... this whole Iraq thing started because of 9/11 or so that is the excuse we are getting, when Iraq had nothing to do with it. The man who planned this attack and had it executed is still at large. We took our focus off of him and put our attention elsewhere. That is my only point.

The current Administration and Congress as the duly elected representatives of the people of the USA have an obligation to do what it perceives to be in the best interests of the people that they serve. If the people do not like the way their representatives serve them...the members of the house can be replaced every two years...members of the Administration every four years...and members of the Senate every six years.

Iraq would proably have been taken down at some point with...or without 9/11...but with 9/11 there became many solid reasons for taking them down sooner rather than later. These reasons have been expounded upon by me and others...but not all agree with the reasons...which is SOP.
