Incredible progress in Zimbabwe.

Great to see things looking up. Just saw this on BBC News.

620 Percent inflation.
70 Percent unemployment.

And health workers have been on strike since October demanding an 11 thousand percent pay rise.

Well done Mugabe!

And as crazy as 70 percent unemployment sounds, you also have to remember that the majority of the population in Zimbabwe is under the age of 15, and thus, aren't considered unemployed.

Especially fucked up when you consider the Rhodesian dollar was worth even more than the US dollar 25 years ago. This is 23 years of progress people.

What the fuck are you whining about?

Mugabe just gave the ZANU-UPF what they wanted all along...Land Reform. Don't be so stupid as to believe that that land was vacant before the brits/euros came over.

Same thing is probably going to happen to South Africa.

You care to prove otherwise? Zimbabwe/Rhodesia, similar to South Africa, was a relatively uninhabited place, and in fact (atleast in South Africa that is) most Blacks are actually immigrants from other parts of Africa who came to live under the Apartheid regime in order to get work.

Yeah, a lot of people think this. The Blacks may try it in South Africa (they have started already to a degree) but the Boers are much more prepared there. There already exist a number of large, trained, well equipped Boer militant groups who have vowed to fight and die if need be.

I remember the Boer war quite well.
Course that's going back a few years.

Just wanted to post this link to a very good video. It is about South Africa, and the growing farm attacks there.

So... a farmer gets killed BOO FUCKING HOO. What about the blacks that were driven from their land? American Indians know this pattern as well.... the only difference between them and Zimbabweans are the huge numbers and political force of the latter.

Theft is theft is theft

No amount of racial justification and fake history ("relatively uninhabited" give me a fucking break, eh?) will alleviate this.

Of course I don't support the killing of white minorities just as much as I don't support the killing of non-white minorities.

IF the Aborigines in Australia numbered in the 10s of millions, YOU BET this shit will come down to in Oz.

1500 White farmers in the last couple of years actually. If you watched the end of the tape too you would of taken not of what the man from http://www.genocidewatch.org/ had to say (one of the people who played a large role in bringing mass murderers to justice through the UN).

He stated (keep in mind he has studied, witnessed and fought genocide for much of his life) that all the signes represented in these murders (i.e. mass dehumanisation) mean that according to international law this *should* be classified as a genocide.

If I steal a car, should my grandson be forced to pay for it? Than you go on to attack racial justification??? You just justified the killing of over 1500 White farmers by Blacks in this exact same way.

Quote:

Too late, you already supported it by racially justifying the continuing murders of thousands of Whites throughout Southern Africa.

More racial justification - got to love it.

I'm not whining about shit. I'm fucking laughing about it.

I don't see any problem with allowing a black person to become the president. I just wish they would choose the right black person for the job. Mugabe is obviously not the right person. It's pretty damn clear that Mugabe is insane. He's a racist, paranoid and totally out of touch with reality. He can't keep blaming whitey for how shit their country is when his government took a wealthy nation and turned it into an aids infested shithole within a matter of years.

The only reason he's remained in power as long as he has is due to his bullying tactics. ZANU-PF have bugger all presence in Harare and Bulawayo, the two largest cities in Zimbabwe (Harare being the capital). In rural areas, it basically goes like this. A gang of Mugabe's thugs walk into a small village, or town. Break some poor bastard's leg and make an example of him. They not so subtly let the rest of the people in their town know that their health and well being is largely dependant on their support for Mugabe. Of course, they vote for Mugabe.

The number of seats they hold in rural areas more than makes up for their lack of presence in the two major cities.

By the way, if you consider human rights violations, murder, raping women and children to be an acceptable means of land reform, then you are an idiot, and probably shouldn't comment any further.

And yeah, i sympathize with black people in Zimbawe who have had a shitty life because of the actions of white people in the past, but that doesn't make it okay for some 15 year old "veteran" to rape a 6 year old girl. Land reform should be a slow and gradual process. Fast track land reform doesn't work.

Yeah. This article is from November. Doctors wanted an 8 thousand percent pay rise then.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/3264371.stm

But what i saw on telly this evening was 11 thousand.

It is amazing that people actually defend this! Land reform like they are doing in Namibia is ok, paying the white farmers for the land (if they want to sell, and a resonable price). But this is just plain fuck up. Also, if he takes the best farm land from people that actually know how to work it, and gives it to people that know fuck all about it and can't even drive a tractor, no wonder he's paying his doctors 11.000% less then waht they should get.

From what i know, it's a little town in the midlands. Was probably quite nice back in the day. I think my parents left Zimbabwe shortly after i was born though. And you're right. Beautiful scenery. I'd love to go back for a very long holiday.

Land reform is going to happen through out Southern Africa...hopefully NOT along the same misguided sentiment of "Africa for the Africans," that seems pervasive in many countries as a reactionary response to colonialism and cold war manipulation.

By this most in power mean Black Africans only and won't include native-born whites, Indians or Black Americans who might wish to repatriate.

Odin it's interesting you don't support the above sentiment, as you support something along the lines of "Europe for the Europeans."

As for your statements about "how long someone should have to pay for past injustice." (Paraphrase)

Well...that depends on if you want a somewhat lasting solution to the problem of disputed land ownership, or you want things decided by force alone.

In your example the grandfather committed theft and was rewarded with the prize; yet you'll complain when someone comes to the door to steal the prize back from the grandson?

If you say you will not attempt to rectify that situation, then you set a dangerous precedent for the likes of Mugabe and those who wish to reform land ownership in Southern Africa.

You've made an argument that land reform by force i.e. theft, is ok if it survives the scrutiny of those in power.

Well, Black Africans are in power in Southern Africa.

You?ll find racial politics of the majority against minority plays just as well there as any other location.

Situation normal.

They will shortly be starving to death also. The government made the smart move of assuming growing and managing the entire food supply was an easy process. They quickly learned after land grabbing all of the farms, it was not as easy as they thought. They will soon be pleading for 'Internation Assistance' for a problem they caused, as usual.

Regardless, smart money is waiting for shit to completely fall apart. I will own a large section of Africa in 20 years. They continue to make one massive mistake after another, that are devestating to their populations. These being, tossing all of the farmers out (happenign throughout Africa), not addressing the AIDS pandemic, wholesale slaughter of each other in tribal disputes, complete disregard for the value of educating their people, the leaders inability to think of anyone else but themselves...

20 years, a nice 200K acre ranch on the lovely southeastern coast.

Agreed, beautiful continent. New Zealand appeals to me in much the same ways as Africa does. Unfortunately it is being run into the ground by completely misguided 'revenge' politics. In the end, the internal strife, corruption, and AIDS will wipe the slate clean.

Maybe lessons will be learned, but judging from history (since the dawn of time), it is doubtful.

Unless you can buy yourself a passport , you will have a difficult time keeping your shit.

It is hard as FUCK to buy clear property rights in most African countries.

A person I know had his land taken from him...about 5 mil USD worth of property as well.

All through nice "government" procedures...

I am not buying any land yet, nor would I until some sort of stability was in place. BUT, the fact remains, the day will come and I will be where I rightfully belong.

I simply would not want to bring my entourage there, as your odds are 1 in 9 of being raped if you are a woman.

Eventually, it will sort itself out, Famine, AIDS, Warfare, etc. Unfortunately, there is no positive outcome in the near future. It is sad, when the majority of the world is in agreement, that until most are dead, the situation will not resolve itself.

A continent so righ in history, natural resources, vast spaces, being quickly pissed away. Needlessly.

Shit will hit the fan, when the final gold and diamond industries pull out of South Africa. It will be a complete bloodbath that will accelerate destiny.

South Africa and the surrounding nations (north to Zambia) are as close to my heart as the US and the Caribbean. It pains me to see this continue. The facts can not be denied, and prettied up, current and past history speaks volumes.

My point about the land being relatively uninhabited (and that many Blacks in South Africa being immigrants) was only a little known fact, which I wanted to point out. I understand the sentiment that land (in part at least) should be given back to the original inhabitants of that land, but I obviously condemn the murder, dehumanization and genocide of White people there.

I support a Europe for Europeans, but under the same premise. I would not want non-Europeans to be dehumanized, driven from their lands and killed. I support a massive reduction in immigration, the funding of European parents to have children (European's have a dangerously low birth rate) and even voluntary repatriation.

Food for thought Chod.

Seems to me that one of the big problems with African countries is that genocide seems to be the 1st thought after any change in power.

Maybe one day someone will come to power in some country and wake up and say:

1. Food. water.
2. Make money.
3. Combat AIDS

As for the population density of the land, could you provide me with relative comparisons?

All genocide? Or just whites? The U.N. doesn't move very quickly for any ethnic population in Africa (white/black/asian).

Any ethnic minority is in danger in many developing countries (Eastern Europe, Rus, Middle East and Africa).

This ethnic warfare isn\t restricted to whites.

Actually, if you look at just sheer GDP, the most affluent African nation is the black population here in the US. IF they had their own country, they would be the richest black country on the face of the planet. The problem with Africa is not lack of resources nor are its people "inferior" the problem is the cultural system that lets tribal politics dominate and corruption rule.

African-born professionals actually make more than the average white worker. The problem is not the people... its the sytem
