Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

my grandfather worked on his campaign and would always say that Carter was too good a man to be president. As far as what they do AFTER leaving office he has my vote hands down.

One of the coolest things in my childhood was going on a car trip to Georgia and stopping in some roadside shop run by a member of the Carter family and them knowing my grandpa. Guess the politics bug bit me then and there.

My husband's father hates Carter, but being from Georgia, and seeing all the charity work that he has done since he left office, Carter is definately up there somewhere.

I also liked Reagan alot.

And of course Kennedy.

Best 20th century president:

FDR

Best man who was a president:

Carter (By far won the nobel peace prize for god sake.)

Best politician:

Clinton

Best worldvision:

Nixon ( yeah he was a crook BUT he knew to court China makes us stronger fiscally and safer overall every year)

Best president we have ever had:

Washington ( without his leadership and personal strength we would have a kingship at best but more probably a dicatorship)

its better to be feared than respected. Ever notice that most of the best bosses are dicks. I can think of some owners of companies on this board that are very good at what they do but are total dicks. They get the job done though.

Reagen is the best in recent memory imo, and I think gwb will be up there with him in the future.

The worst is Carter. Good leaders have a spine.

Id say Clinton was second worse. With his politician skills he could have done alot for this country. But he chose to just sit on his hands and do nothing but ride a phantom economy.

If not for Watergate... Nixon. He was kick ass in foreign policy. He also was kick ass with domestic.

Though, if I needed to pick another due to the watergate problem... I would have to go with Reagan or Clinton. Both made me happy to be in the usa.

Niether Bush Sr. Nor Jr. do it for me.

Carter? He was weak as shit as Pres., but I will say the guy has done so much humanitarian work since leaving office that you can't think ill of him. Maybe he was too nice for the job.

I personally think they all have had their faults, but the one that gained most respect on the international scene was Clinton. Your country was also more respected by the rest of the world.

Sometimes diplomacy will get you further than brute force. Bush may have gotten you one of the top 10 most wanted, but if all your presidents were like Clinton, perhaps the U.S. would have less enemies.

Clinton rode a "phantom economy"? Did you pull that out of Rush Limbaugh's book or Hannity's.

The longest upward swing in our economy EVER 1992-2000 WITH defecit REDUCTION.

You cannot say that about Reagen. And definitely not about either Bush's.

Thanks Brad, at least our leaders have had a spine, unlike the Canadian leaders who just....fold.

BC Ferry dispute, Selling off the Canadian economy to other countries, backing down to the unions instead of telling them to get the hell back to work.

Great job Canada! Home of the people who hate the way everything goes against them, but doesn't care enough to do anything about it.

Should I keep going Brad? hehe

Reagan - Not too far behind Nixon
Nixon - Best foriegn Policy

Presidential Library literally around the corner, attended the public view and the grand opening when he was alive....

Clinton and Kennedy are tied for most charismatic presidents
they had a look and the ability to speak to people.

Clinton best bullshitter ever....

As I understand economy, a Presidents policy doesnt effect the economy instantly, it usually takes about 4 to 5 years for a policy to show a change in the economy.

Of course Papandreou didn't step back during the crisis regarding Cyprus. Lyndon Johnson later on said that Greece is a too lucky country to have such a prime minister to protect its interest with so passion.

Definetely a respected personality.

Bill Clinton hands down, of all presidents the U.S has ever had.

Best econmic turnaround in the world's history, awesome foreign policy, and incredible forsight.

People laugh when Gore says he created the internet, but if it wasn't for the Clinton admin... the internet would be "The AOL Network" A repuplican govt would have stayed out of it on principal.

On a similar note, Clinton also insured the Human Genome wouldn't be owned by a private company. If he hadn't stepped up funding for the public project, one company would own the patent on the entire human genome. It's a BIG difference, but people won't see the benefits for probably 10 to 20 years.

He also renegotiated the free trade agreement with Canada under NAFTA. Believe me, Canada got screwed so bad we didn't even see what hit us. Basically, we signed over all our natural resources to the U.S. Under NAFTA, if Canada holds back a natural resource from a U.S. company, that company can sue our govt for lost revenue until they're given access.

It's something you yankees won't appreciate until your resources are used up. It'll be EXTREMELY valuable in about 50 years and on. Your great grandchildren are going to owe Clinton a very big 'thank you'.

FDR,

next question?

The guy lead us through the great depression, and two world wars. If he was immortal, he would still be our president.

Best Person - Carter
Best Politician - Jefferson
Best Diplomat - JFK
Best Puppet - Reagan
Best Econimist - Clinton (I'm rating on fiscal responibility and economic growth)
