I have $100,000 to invest... What would you suggest?

I need some good solid advice on how I can invest $100,000 with minimal risk. I realize low risk means low return but its better then loosing it. I would LOVE it if I could get $1000.00/mth from it somehow.

Do you guys have any insight on what I should do?

BTW this is totaly legal money.

Sports betting is one of the safest investments there is if you know how to do it and want a safe 2%+ return on certain events.

Good luck with it. Wish I had that kind of dough. I've got a totally KILLER idea for a reality paysite that hasn't been done, yet. Hope no one figures it out before I can get the money together.

Not much of a guarentee on a paysite.. In my eyes that would not be a smart investment.. Too many factors can make it go to shit.

Yep. But I believe in this one so much I'm going to risk everything I have for it.

Personal choice, though. Everyone has to decide what is right for them.

ok heres the formula I have been usin for 3 years\
Buy FHA foreclosures around the 65% market value and do some minor improvements(cosmetic) and sell for 95% market value and the new homeowner feels like they got a bargain. Works great in the inner city here in chicago Very easy if your handy and want to work a little, the rewards are plentiful

Actually, I do have an idea if you could find a partner with experience. The low-carb food market is fucking HUGE right now, but there is a severe lack of low-carb SALTY snack foods. About all there is is jerky, pork skins and macadamia nuts

I wish to GOD that someone would produce low carb snack foods like turnip chips (these are actually really good), baked chicken skins (it's a pain to make them myself) and stuff like that. There's some real money to be made, there. I'll buy TONS of it myself

Why would you want to put 100g's into something and want 1g/month back? It'd be like over 8 years before you got your money back.

Not with arbitrage Using 2 different sportsbooks you split up the 100K and because the odds are different you can work it so no matter who wins you make the same amount.

Well each book has different odds, usually those odds add up in total to over 100%. That's overround. Because the books are done by humans each one has certain opinions and prejudices on making up the odds. Suppose one bookmaker doesn't have the info on a team that another one does. Because they're not on the same page they set different odds. Put the numbers into the formula and it'll tell you what to stake on each bookie. Once the games over you'll have made exactly the same return no matter who wins.

Yes, good idea. On the absolute high of real estate prices in the last 25 years while budget deficits & USD weakness call for higher interest rates.. way to go

Ok so lets recap here. These are the suggestions so far.

1) Sports betting

2) Reality paysite

3) Real estate foreclosures

4) sent it thru paypal to Ic3m4nZ

5) Pornkitten would sell me her company

6) invest in the low-carb food market

I would have expected much more from GFY. These ideas are pretty weak.

If you have a 100 thou why would you need a paysite.. it doesnt make sense to me. What is your invested interest? Are you a model, photographer?? I really love porn, I love the people in the industry cuz they arent all boring and uptight, I love getting naked, art and photography and I dont care what anyone thinks. Have you thought this through, you have to deal with the religious freaks and people who are against porn. You may lose all that money, it takes thousands to have a decent site made and maintain. Let me know if you need a custom shoot done Ill hook you up with a good photographer for just a few grand

I'm just throwing it out there but would you be interested in a joint offline business venture? If so let me know how I can contact you and we can discuss it sometime. Much more than $1000 a month return.

You can put about $25k into something for a fairly consistent $2k/mo return, pretty low risk. If interested, icq me 3431124

12% yearly return isnt bad on something that is "safe", sure you can get freater returns on higher risk stuff. but why?

short-term loans.. 780+% APR!! Its a guarenteed killer! its a 8 billion dollar a year market, and guess what! It hasnt even begun to get saturated yet..

I know EVERYTHING there is to know about short-term loans, there is alot involved, but with 100k, you could EASILY start seeing very good returns, guarenteed! You set the interest!

Contact me if interested...

I see someone has never had any serious cash. A 12% return these days is very hard to find and probably would be considered high risk.

I would put 25% of it in some blue chip stocks, 25% in some more riskier stocks and 50% in real estate.

An option would be to invest into a mix of mutual bond funds & mutual stock funds. 70-80% bonds/20-30% stock funds is pretty conservative. Leave the cash in there for 5-10 years you should see a CAGR of something like 4-11%.

Never invest money you need in X days/months/years. Only invest money you can live without.

12% annual return without any risk & you're begging to be ripped off by frauds. Get some advice. Some banks offer private banking features (i.e. a dedicated banking agent taking care of your individual investments) @ 250k in liquid assets.

Not near as much as a regular business. Of course I can't say it's 100% guaranteed because the world could blow up tomorrow. If you are seriously interested in a business and aren't just talking I'm sure you'd like to hear what I have to say. It's much better than investing in real estate and when you know what you are doing the returns are much higher also. I don't really want to discuss what it is on here because we are set up to get it going locally but it's something that can and is being done everywhere. There's too much money to be made to give the idea away. By the way, it wouldn't have to be a $100,000 investment starting out but something that could be invested in as it grew and it generates income from the first month.

This goes for anyone interested also, I know there are a lot of haters on this board but I'm serious if anyone is curious.
