An option would be to invest into a mix of mutual bond funds & mutual stock funds. 70-80% bonds/20-30% stock funds is pretty conservative. Leave the cash in there for 5-10 years you should see a CAGR of something like 4-11%.
Never invest money you need in X days/months/years. Only invest money you can live without.
12% annual return without any risk & you're begging to be ripped off by frauds. Get some advice. Some banks offer private banking features (i.e. a dedicated banking agent taking care of your individual investments) @ 250k in liquid assets.
