Is overture worth it?

I've been thinking about dumping ALOT of money daily into some overture campaigns. It doesn't matter if the ROI is like 10-20% as long as there's some profit. Anyone got experience they can share?

So long as your making money keep it going. Make sure to factor the amount of time your spending to monitor reports and expenses/sales. But generally Overture has become one of the lowest ROI PPC SE's out there now.

Better than Overture's that's for sure. Each SE has its special advantages and disadvantages, I lost a good $1000 or so before I could make Google profitable. It really helps to talk to their reps to tweak your campaigns considering you have very little text you can use in your adcopy.

You can make some ok money with Overture, but their staff can be an absolute bitch to work with. I much prefer Google. Like WG says you've got to factor in your time because few campaigns are ever truly set and forget.

I'm not a PPC kinda guy, but in the summer, I ran three large PPC campaigns.. one with Google, Sprinks and Overture.

Google - CTR was high as hell, ROI sucked.
Sprinks - CTR was okay, ROI was decent.
Overture - CTR was great, ROI was very good.

I don't think I'll do much PPC again, but if I do, I'd use Overture again.

Depending on your niche, it may be a good deal. However, ROI tends to drop for more popular niches. Make sure you have a site that converts real well.

Another hassle with Overture is you can't get too agro with your keywords because (2001: Space Odyssey theme) many of their relevancy editors are so picky about adult keywords that you'd think they are pushing their own sites. This is what jacked up DMOZ for most webmasters in larger niches.

Overture sucks for adult. Mainstream it's pretty good.

what he said...seriously...

about 2 years ago i used to throw a (what I considered) a ton of cash at it weekly...great ROI....

tried it a few times again last year, and BARELY, I repeat BARELY broke even...

I guess I wasn't nichey enough, but I only promote shit I have a slight clue or interest in...so for me mature, ebony, trannies are not going to end up being tested on my end...but go for it!

Amen to that. Specialty non adult products do extremely well.

I think overture is not very good. they dont give you the keywords you want , I dropped them.

Google is over priced..$$$

findwhat rips you off :Err to many clicks no traffic..

sex.com is good
kanoodle is good
goclick is good

I just use the 3 above now as i wasted a lot on the others.
