How easy would it be to start a site where affiliates, who have recieved the package at an address only known to sponsors, could list their sponsors. Would very quickly show who is the rat.
When Acacia are beaten some companies arew going to be out of business because they signed up to Acacia. |

yesterday it became pretty clear where most of theinformation came from for this large mailing Acacia sent out last week. what isn't clear is how Acacia obtained the information and from whom.
Far-L in another thread suggests others had access to the Matrix Content customer database - that means Matrix knows where to look for the culprit if it is not them which they vehemently deny. So in the coming weeks we should hear from Matrix whom they believe used their db for nefarious means. I trust Far-L, if he says Matrix was just a patsy I would believe it. But I also believe Matrix now or soon will know who is responsible for framing them.

I got the letter too and I am not pointing fingers yet as I'm researching ALL sponsors, etc to make sure I never used "thefreakybeaver" as a username elsewhere. I do not believe I did as most sponsors only allow a certain amount of characters and I use "freakybeaver" and other names.
The only place I can be sure I have used THEfreakybeaver (the name which they addressed my letter to is here on GFY! Has Lensman publically stated he hasn't supplied any info to Acacia yet? If so is it possible an ex employee or someone got info from GFY and supplied it to Acacia? I have a different username altogether at Matrix and I've never registered through AVN. Again not pointing fingers, just stating another possibility and wondering if anyone else has gotten a letter to a "name" they think they only used on GFY. Would love to see my mail lady's face when she read whom the letter was addressed to!! I feel bad for anyone who has a really hardcore username like Cum On My Face, Fuck My Ass etc |

i wasn't aware of this scanning badges stuff so I called my friend this morning and asked him about it - yes he remembers having his tag scanned - he can't remember who of course being drunk at the time and with so many exhibitors and people pretty much a blur but he does remember the scanning.
who was scanning badges at Internext?

Well for me I never go to conventions so AVN didn't do shit to me. I am too paranoid and don't give out real information unless I feel I have to. So only time I felt I had to was when I was getting CD content from a content provider.

There is no way that AVN sold their list to Acacia.
I am confident the source for Acacia's information will soon be revealed.

I am new to this board but I have been lurking for a while. I got the letter this week and could not figure how they sent to my P.O. Box. and made up company name. I have never gone to any of the shows. Today AVN Online Mag. came it uses the same fake company name and address info.
If you hold the envelope address label next to the AVN label they are twins. Surferman |

The label on my AVN Online TO: address is not the same as the one from Acacia... And it did not come with the same address/company that I used for Internext... Go figure.. Only place it really seems to be for me is Matrix.. I would investigate former employees who have access to the database, or disgruntel employees who might be looking for that missed christmas bonus... This is so rediculous becasue I am a designer.. haha
Just my 2 cents.. Media

For me the Matrix Content idea makes since, Acacia used the company name I used to sign up with Matrix. Which also sucks because I never even bought anything.
As said before though, I think there are multiple sources that may have leaked. |

Well for me my letter went to my HOME address.
and just so happens that my business name was worded wrong.. just like it is with another item i get in the mail that only goes to my home i have an LLC at the end of my business name this letter just so happens to have Llc i incorporated at the beginning of the year and all my whois info has the incorporation name.. so its definately not coming from whois. The real kicker will be the person getting a letter that hasn't been doing porn since last year |
