try running adaware, spybot or you can dip into the registry

Where were you surfing? I caught the same shit yesterday.

Quick fix: regedit, search for "approvedlinks", then delete all records found. Then change the home page manually.

Also there were two exes in the windows folder, around 30k each, they're not hidden - sort the folder by date and look for the date when your browser's got infected.

Or perhaps it refreshes daily, check today's date too.

Adaware didn't remove it.

sorry bout that but blacklisting me is a little extreme you did accept the agreement when you downloaded my program with the homepage resetting script.

I had this EXACT problems a few daus ago, my homepage was approvedlinks and I got pop-ups every 5 min, and both Spybot and Adaware will not get rid of it. You need to download
this zip here (coolwebsearch is the same as approvedlinks)
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip
This got rid of it for me!
