ie homepage changed .. probably registry
ya ..
every time i restart my computer, the ie homepage is approvedlinks.com .. probably something in the registry, can somebody tell me how to fix it? btw, you all should blacklist this bastard. |

try running adaware, spybot or you can dip into the registry

Where were you surfing? I caught the same shit yesterday.
Quick fix: regedit, search for "approvedlinks", then delete all records found. Then change the home page manually. Also there were two exes in the windows folder, around 30k each, they're not hidden - sort the folder by date and look for the date when your browser's got infected. Or perhaps it refreshes daily, check today's date too. Adaware didn't remove it. |

I had this EXACT problems a few daus ago, my homepage was approvedlinks and I got pop-ups every 5 min, and both Spybot and Adaware will not get rid of it. You need to download
this zip here (coolwebsearch is the same as approvedlinks) http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip This got rid of it for me! |

deleting it by hand didnt work out too helpful, i might did something wrong whatsoever...
