Notice that enemy combatants are given a better treatment that a celebrity citizen of the country charged with selling colored glass. And these guys are the losers !! The winners now control an unregulated heroin empire greater than the pre-Taliban days. Courtesy of the Bush administration !!

Speak for yourself... You can say "WE" because you watch TV LOL... My city is full of "war is not the answer" signs and anti-Bush graffiti in the streets. Why don't you go outside and talk to real people in your community. I feel sad for the saps captive in their SUV's, afraid to look you in the eye. If you have so much money why don't you walk around your town and help out the homeless. Not everyone in America is an angry armchair quarterback with duct tape ready for the poison nerve gas LOL YOU are the ignorant fool... If America is so rich, then why does it allow people to starve in other countries... I'm sure you could skip a few pedicures to save a few staving children... What the FUCK are you rambling about? I never said I had "so much money" but I do give money to charities that are worthy. I can't help the homeless, unless they are mentally challenged, they choose to live that way. I had nowhere to live a few years ago too... no one gave me shit. I worked for what I have now and they can do the same.

America, the Red Cross, Christian Children's fund and MANY others, do all we can to help people starving in other countries, but it's not America's responsibility to take care of that, it's that country's government. America is just being humane by giving assistance.

I don't have pedicures or live in the lap of luxury like you said... so that's how ignorant YOU are. I never said that everyone supports the war, but if you are a tax payer, you damn sure are PAYING for it. WE all share a country, right or wrong. I didn't say WE all have the same views and WE all share the same beliefs, but WE as a nation contribute to the war, one way or another.

I'd be offended by what you said... if this wasn't coming from a guy who is part of some weird sex mafia. :1orglaugh

The Soviet Army did not save the world from Hitler. The Soviet Army along with a large portion of the world saved the world from Hitler. I will add that we provided our allies...including the Soviets...with the bulk of materials used in the war against Germany.

Care to explain what role luck played in winning the Battle of the Bulge.

I don't think many homeless people choose to be homeless. It's easy to say anyone can work their way up but that's simply not true, especially in this Bush economy. It'd be nice if the government would create jobs in the US(possibly make foreign sweatshop labor illegal?). When you have nothing it's pretty hard to get money. Go visit an urban area and you'll see that even if the people find work, they're constantly in debt for the things they need.

Homeless adults (unless they are mentally ill or mentally challenged) did, and do, in fact choose to be homeless...by the decisions they have made in life...and remain homeless by the decisions that they make.

Not everyone has opportunity in America. There are no streets paved in gold anymore. It's at least partially the fault of the big corporations using foreign labor instead of domestic labor. We're just continuing to pump money out of our economy into foreign countries. The money that is saved in paying $0.10 an hour instead of $6 an hour goes right back into the companies for reinvestment into the foreign labor, etc. Trying to give the consumers less and less money while trying to get more and more out of them is just an economic disaster waiting to happen.

Bullshit. I have had NOTHING. At one point, I sold anything I had of value, including my CDs for $20 bucks. It's not EASY starting from nothing, but unlike other poverty stricken countries, the opportunity is greater in the US. I was broke, faced sleeping in my car, if I didn't live with my grandmother for a few months, I would have had to.

Bush's economy? My family lost it's business during Clinton's economy when the economy was supposedly so good. I saw the decline start in the early 90s and the internet boom is the only thing that temporarily perked anything up.

Any person who is not disabled, can go get a minimum wage job, get a crappy apartment and make themselves not homeless. Poverty in the US might not be appealing, but it is nothing like poverty in other countries, where they live in slums and have no sanitation. At poverty level in the US, you can still have food and water everyday, electricity, heat, TV, radio and so many other things, that don't even exist in 3rd world countries, on top of ways to better your situation. No one "chooses" to be homeless, but they do choose to remain that way.

Never claimed otherwise.

My post was in response to Nap's about it being an American who did the OKC bombing.

I think certain fringe elements might work together to see a common goal realized much like criminal organizations have in the past.
Even if that common goal is just to kill, it has nothing to do with their ultimate goals.

I'm not bitching. I am not angry about my past financial problems. I learned a lot from it and chose not to stay in that rut. I am spoiled but I am also grateful. I am not complaining... if I were to become poor again, I would still fight my way out of it, no matter what I had to do. My will to succeed is greater than my acceptance of failure.

Quite bitching and hating everything about us you pessimist. Open your eyes the truth is right in front of you.

You need to RE-READ history! Because using Japan as an example of what we can do in Iraq is totally in left field.

Japan was/is a "western civilization", with an industrial infrastructure, educated, and with a good source of natural resources to call upon to rebuild.

Iraq is NONE of these things. For us to think that in 5 years, Iraq will have a democracy just like Japan or the United States is ludicrous!
