Another one, from the book "The Italians" http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...00124?v=glance by Barzini, a classic book. Barzini writes about how the Italians made wonderfully decorated armors in the Middelage. Then, when they had to go to war, the Italians went to Germany and bought their armors there. Why? Because the Italian armors were fragile and would break easily.

I am not sure, but that site appears to be David Irving's site? I know an amount about Irving (learnt a bit about him when he was refused entry into Australia), but I have not checked out his site before. I will be sure to have a look at it though.

I am glad to hear you are reading about the devastation caused in the beautiful town of Dresden during WWII - an act which is often not recognised as being of any importance.

I used to have a video documentary which explained what happened in Dresden, but unfortunately the old link to it no longer works. I will try to find it for you though, as it was quite good.

I will be sure to check out some of his books to, from what I hear he is a good writer. Thanks for the link!

When Tacitus wrote Germania in the first century AD he used numerous stereotypes and sweeping generalizations alleged about the German Tribes in order to satarize Roman society. Some of the stereotypes he used have fond their way into modern literature as fact. If you want the lowdown on german stereotypes read Germania first. I think you will find what your looking for.
