if everyone did raise it to 50bux a pop, 2 things will happen

1)increase in kazaa and other free porn related items
2)ppl would offer it lower just to saturate the market, just to make another option.

Totally Disagree with your Point #1 - There is already so much free stuff available - just look around - and surfers STILL buy memberships. That is a fact. Free stuff available or not. I've started my pay sites back in 97 at $14.95 and increased it along with the majority of the other sites. Currently, at $34.95 and going stronger than ever. (Even though there is more free stuff available than before.)

Point 2 is not relevant because I said " IF EVERYONE DID"

how long do you think it will take before surfers get educated and learn that there are free sites with no rebills that cater to his needs? and file sharing programs like kazaa.. you think thats likely going to decrease? maybe if they shut it down. but u know very well that another will take its place.

and #2, everybody? very utopian. so unless u can create, manager a cartel with anyone who owns a paysite... its not likely going to happen.

constant updates are important of course

and kazaa only has a small proportion of the porn in a site

a lot of people just want convenience of access - not downloading videos at 2kbs

As an example - there's about 200MB of videos from ideepthroat.com on kazaa

but the site itself probably has at least 2GB.

I may be wrong, but my understanding is visa is not happy with 39.99 rebills and are looking to get everyone to 29.95 or under -

We only charge 19.95 for several gigs of totally unique content and we add about 100mbs a week -

Although our rebills match the best sites out there, there is absolutely no way you can stop surfers who join by trial, and then cancel BEFORE they enter the members area -

A conversation with a leading programme owner two days ago confirmed this early cancellation figure is easilly 50% -

This figure is very high - Probably a result of joining for X and finding Z on the credit card - I don't know - Just my theory.

Even tho we have a few each week write and say they made a mistake in cancelling and would like rebilling instead - It still shows that we, as an industry, have a lot to get right.
