1 lb of beef/cut in to 1/4 inch cubes
1 lb of pork/cut in to 1/4 inch cubes

brown the meat

1 medium chopped onion
1 half chopped bell pepper
1 large tomato/diced
1-2 chopped garlic cloves
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1/2 teaspoon of cumin
1-2 teaspoons of salt
2-lids full of your favorite chili powder
1/4-1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper
1 small can of tomato sauce

Dump into the browned meat.
add water until all ingredients are covered.
Cover the pot and cook on low heat for 1 1/2-2 hours (may have to add more water if you have the heat to high...but just enough to cover the ingredients.)

Enjoy along with some heated flour tortteos.

1/2 medium head cabbage, sliced
3 slices bacon, diced
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 cup cubed cooked ham
1 tablespoon butter
3 cups potatoes - baked, cooled and thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon paprika
salt and pepper to taste

Directions
1 In a medium saucepan, cook cabbage in a small amount of water for about 5 minutes, or until tender. Drain, and set aside.
2 In a well-seasoned cast iron skillet, cook bacon and onion until onion is soft and bacon is cooked. Add ham, and cook until heated through. Add butter, then mix in the cooked cabbage and potatoes. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned on bottom, turn, and brown again.

Wrong cooking instructions. It is supposed to be half-baked.

I said two lids of your favorite chili powder but you may want to add the chili powder to your own taste...in other words two lids may be to much or to little.

If by spicy you mean hot...then liberally apply the crushed red pepper as that is where the heat is.
