Just remember man, even if your cooking skills suck, she won't mind. The gesture is more important than the outcome for women, but judging by the food you bought, you are going to be fine!
Good luck, Seb. |

i took one outside to grill it and test it out ... good thing i did! it was fucking HORRID! i mean it was very tender, just how i would like it, but WAYYYYY too fishy. i am going to attempt to bread a peice and see if it takes some of the fishyness away. any other suggestions?

she likes chicken and french fries?
you can't cook so take her to McDonalds for Chicken McNuggets and fries. I just don't see the problem. if you really like this girl don't experiment on her digestive system |

Quick question - did you drain the marinade from the shark before you tried it? Make sure it's really dry (pat with kitchen towel) before you cook it to get rid of some of that taste, lime and chilli flakes also help with an over-fishy flavour. I can give you some amazinly easy girly friendly recipes if you need them for the future!

gourmet.com is the best recipe site. It has the archives of all of Gourmet and Bon Apppetit magazine recipes with ratings from people who have made them. Buy the Joy of Cooking, its the best beginners cookbook with answers to all of the questions you might think are silly. My best advice in cooking is to always use the best ingredients even if they are more expensive and use fresh herbs instead of dried. good luck ![]() |

Ok here's a little suggestion for you:
1. Sheesh-Kabob Needs: -sheesh-kabob rods - metal -cilantro -2 cloves garlic -lime -chicken breast - cubed -salt, pepper to taste -coriander seeds - 5 seeds crushed Chop up some cilantro and mince the garlic, cube the chicken and mix it all drip a little lime on it, add coriander and salt and pepper to taste. Let marinate for a few hours, you can stir from time to time make sure everything mixes up nice. Spike the sheesh-kabobs, chicken only (keep meat and veggies separate on sheesh-kabob), make sure chicken pieces touch but should not be packed in. You can BBQ if you want or use the broiler on your oven. Put the sheesh-kabobs on a cookie sheet and be very careful, direct flame from broiler cooks things FAST. You will want to flip the kabobs once midway through, check them often and flip when one side looks done. You can add a bit more lime and choppend cilantro or parsley to the kabobs for presentation. Substitute with cow for meat lovers, same basic concept. 2. Add some veggies. This is some easy grilled veggies that will go great with some rice and the chicken kabobs -red onion -scallions - whole, sliced down the middle but not completely in two -red pepper -green pepper -tomato (not too juicy, cut in quarters) -cucumber -parsley -butter -extra virgin olive oil Chop all the veggies rather rough with odd sized pieces around 2 or 3 square inches. Add about half table spoon olive oil and heat in frying pan. When hot add about a teaspoon of butter and quickly add the veggies: Peppers first, cucumber, onion next. Don't stir too much. You want the veggies to get a quick heat, almost burn but stay firm in other parts. Add tomatoes. Add the scallions towards the end, some salt and pepper right at the end, and you can add some chopped parsley after removing from heat. This goes great with some white basmati rice pilaf and/or pita bread, or greek style with black olives (not the canned type), feta cheese and fresh veggie relish tray: cucumbers, tomato, pepperocini, peppers, scallions, etc. If you try this let me know if you fucked it up ![]()
