Buy some mixed lattuce, slice up some tomatoes (get rid of the sticky part), some cucumber, add some croutons with that (you know those tiny little crispy squares with herbs), and some salad dressing (make sure you don't buy a yoghurt based one.)

Mix this together.

Now buy some chicken and slice it up in pieces of 1 by 4cm, buy some chicken herbs or paprika powder and sprinkle it over those raw pieces of chicken. Now bake the chicken in a pan with some olive oil. Bake em till they turn slightly brown. Make sure you turn them alot and make sure that the inside is completely white.

Now mix those pieces of chicken with the salad. Don't use too much chicken, just enough to find a few pieces of chicken within your salad on your board.

Now you have a tasty salad.

Serve some nice Chablis or Chardonnay with it and be creative on the rest.

Seb.

How about a nice chicken salad?

Cut up some lettuce, cabbage, carrots, onions, and shit like that.
Get some nice marinated chicken, cook it and cut it up real nice.

Present it nicely. Its easy! I never cook but I think I could do it easily enough........

Infact I'm gonna do it tonight!

Look like a gourmet and hardly lift a finger...

1 whole chicken (3 to 4lbs)
4 white russet potatos
1 white onion
4 carrots

Olive Oil
Sage (powdered works but fresh is better)
Salt
Black Pepper
Minced garlic

Thaw the chicken and thoroughly clean it (remove the giblets from the body cavity and trim the neck off)

Using a medium sized mixing bowl combine the following and mix together:
3Tbsp olive oil
2tsp sage
3 cloves garlic minced (about 2tsp if you buy pre-minced)
salt and pepper to taste (don't over do it)

scrub but do not peel the potatos and carrots. Quarter the potatos into 1" nuggets. Slice the carrots into 1" chunks. Peel the onion and quarter it into 1" chunks.
Add the vegetables to the mixing bowl and toss until covered with the mixture of oil and spices.

Preheat your oven to 375deg F.

Take a mixture of sage, salt & pepper and rub it the chicken thoroughly with it. Tip: work some of the rub under the skin of the breast meat to ensure the spices are absorbed by the meat.
Place the chicken, breast up, on a roasting pan (optionally tie the legs and wings to the body).
Scatter the vegetables around the chicken and carefully drip the remaining mixture of oil and spice over the chicken to add to the basting goodness.

Loosely cover the chicken & roasting pan with foil (shiny side down) and place it on the middle rack of the oven.

Cook for approx. 35 minutes. If the vegetables look to be cooked at this point, remove the foil and cook for an additional 10 to 15 minutes to slightly brown the chicken.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.

Serve.

If your girlfriend isn't impressed by this meal she ain't human. :D

p.s. - be a gentleman and carve that bird for her!

ok just got back from store!!!

i got a bag of pre-made salad, some fresh carots and fresh celery, and some nice fat free ceasar dressing for the top.

I got 2 packs of boneless chicken breast, which i currently have in fridge marinating with a nice chicken season, and a ton of honey mustard marinade.

i got 3 slabs of mako (shark meat) and had it all sliced up nice and thin.

I will fry the mako breaded in some nice bread crumb. I will grill the chicken on the grill outside after it is done marinading.

I got a fresh chocolate cheasecake (she loves it!) from the bakery, as well as a dozen or so fresh dinner rolls.

to drink, i think i will go to liquer store and have the guy suggest me a nice wine.

How does this sound so far, and do you have any other suggestions?

Seems like you are already underway but this is what I like:

1/2 squash
1 Red Bell Pepper
Brocolli
Scallions
Cellery

Chop all of that up in to small pieces about 1-2cm x 1-2cm, mix it all in a bowl. Then take 1 decent sized chicken breast and cut it up into the size of nuggets about. Season them a bit however you like.

Get a good pan and heat it up, it's ready when water evaporates right away if you splash it (lightly). Add some olive oil.

Throw on the pieces of chicken, they should cook very quickly. About 2-3 minutes on each side. After they are golden and slightly brown remove them and put them in a separate bowl.

Now throw on the veggies you chopped up into the same pan, add a little bit of olive oil again if needed. Cover the pan so the veggies also get steamed and turn down the heat to about mid level. Every once in a while shake up the veggies. Cook till they are soft and slightly brown.

Turn off the heat and throw the chicken back on so it heats up a bit.

Now serve. It also goes very well with an eggplant sauce thats slightly spicy. You can also put this on some noodles and make into a chicken alfredo with veggies.

Well you could grill the chicken on that thing, go buy some Caesar sauce and crutons (little dried bread chunks) some romano cheese and mozzerella, ask the produce guy what the right kind of letuce is (I forget). And make here a heartfelt grilled chicken caesar salad.
