Sponsors that accept Yahoo Chat Bot Spam

Does Yahoo chat still produce traffic or is it dead?
I alway see a lot of "join 4 free" programs being advertised.

I actually was caught chatting to a sophisticated bot that answered questions and sent photos to my email.....then spammed me with "my cam only works in my members area just go to http://www.girlwithcamsthatspamwithyahoochat.com signing up it is free"....

Is it spam? I engaged in the conversation first...
Is this grey area for some sponsors?

I used to get spam from redpersonals by ICQ. ICQ'd them a few times, but they didn't respond. I guess it was them using an affiliate url as a cover.

I think that's what most sponsors do.

I wonder if that kind of spam gets reported to the sponsor. I would think that the person getting spam is to embarrassed to report that kind of spam.

I have one, but Yahoo does a good job with making it difficult to use. You need lots of new Yahoo Member IDs and lots of fresh proxies. If you can do this, you can make good money. For me it got to be too much of a hassle, so I've moved on to other things.

I can sell you this program pretty cheap, but it takes some work to get up and running...that would be up to you.

Post your details here and I'll contact you.

I used to spam yahoo chat about 2 years ago. I wrote a program that signed on 30 messenger accounts and rotated rooms and PM'd people with my message. I could make about $1200 on ifriends off it pretty easy in a day. I did pretty good with personals and dialers too.

Most sponsors allow it as long as you can send enough sales to make it worth them getting a few hate mails from anti's. Usually you'll get assigned a cool account rep and they take the extra steps to protect your account.

Okay, Let just say you guys (whoever is interested) wanted to purchase such a program, coded to meet the demands of a Direct Marketing Campaign.

-How much would you be willing to pay for such a program?
-What type of payment methods do you have available in your favor?
-Will you be willing to provide ID/Pictures to verify your identity/name?
-Will you confirm order by phone?
-Have you any idea what requirements, demands it takes to run such a program?
-Will you require a tutorial? or Live assistance?
-What OS do you run?

Note:
-Private programs are not publicly released and marketed
Reason: Less copies sold = Steady flow of traffic, Little to no competition
Reason: Keeps the 'method' alive and fresh as possible

1) In my view, programs such as Direct Advertisers such as Chat Bots...fall in the range of 'Private' Applications, due to the fact that such things are not generally available for anyone in the general PUBLIC to purchase.
-Mainly this is the case because, protocol encryption is very hard to crack and have it work in your favor (winsock connections)
-Programming Complicated Chat Bots requires Tons and Tons of Mental/Physical labor.
(Thousands and Thousands of lines of code are usually used for such programs.)
-Those that do manage to bypass the encryption, are smart enough and know the potential to keep the program on the low, and limit production.

2) I would have to say such an application [MSN/Yahoo Chat Bots] should be valued in the range of $4,500-$8,000+ ( Depending on the amount of work put into the Project, as well as the program complexity).
There is potential to make way more than this givin time.
(That's how I see it, please let me know what you guys think)

-Price is usually higher for private programs than publicly sold programs.
EX: A Chat Bot is coded, the programmer slaps a $400.00 price tag on it since he is selling it to the general public...
-Now 1000+ people purchased this Application earning the programmer $400,000+...now the 'method/area' is flooded that the Chat Bots advertises in...earning the person behind the bots close to SHIT. Obviously no one wants this to happen.

Note: This is becoming the case with Yahoo CHAT ROOM Linkers, documentation as well as code sniplets were released for Yahoo Chat rooms. Aside from the flood of Yahoo Chats, Yahoo Instant Message Spam is not as great...there is still potential.

-However MSN / MSN CHAT receives it's share of Bot Spam, but if you ever took the time to observe the Messages/URLs they are coming from 3-4 GUYS alone who are just promoting to their fullest potential.

I rather not say more. But as for me I'm currently perfecting my methods, ideas as well as doing a ton of debugging.

I have had over 5+ Years with Direct Marketing/Bots, ranging from paid chat services...to free public chats. I have to say Bots are a very smart approach to advertising, but they are only as good as the user behind the bots. The outcome usually determine on your knowledge of what the recipients are looking for, also you should know the demographic you are targeting.

And you MUST always honor a RemovesList/BlackLists, as well as filter out areas/nicks that can possibly be young children. If you be an honorable person, you will be repaid greatly. This goes for every aspect of marketing.

-I'm not selling anything at the moment, but it's something I would consider for the near future after I do some more debugging. ( Private Copies )
-My programs usually consist of all the 'EXTRAS' to keep a self sustaining program, requires little to no interaction as well as protect your identity and keep you safe as possible.

Projects: Usually Coded in C++/C++#NET

BTW: Sorry for the long document lol, I just felt the need to state the above as most people who have no background in the area will just jump all over you and act like morons.

-I would like to hear everyone's views.
-What do you guys think of Direct Marketing?
-Direct Marketing, that honors remove requests that is.
-If anyone would like to speak, please leave your contact information.

It's more than worth it, It's all in your approach...and what you are pushing.

Chat Bots can pull 10,000+ QUALITY Hits daily if done right

Sales/Profit is usually determined on your approach...[MSGs/Demographic]

From my personal observations, results: Bot traffic has an AMAZING response to FREE things.
-Free Trial Joins
-Free Cell Phones
-Free Email Programs
-*Paid Games* (Flash/exe)

Basically something very down to earth, that everyone would be interested in...there are many 'tricks' you pick up over time as to what people like to see.

Remember: People usually go to Chat because they are bored, any sort of 'entertainment' will get a responce.

Yahoo PM spamming did very good for me back in the day.

Now there's crazy filters, even with lots of random characters. I recently wrote a program that gathers out of the yahoo member directory and uses an unrated proxied PM method(few k/minute, more if you use harvested lists than gathering onliners). After a few thousand messages, they do heavy text filtering and your messages stop going through, even on new accounts.

Coding the actual bot is easy as pie, the real challenge is getting by the filters they've been constantly upping over the past 2 years.

I think that's a far cry from spam. You're not FORCING people to see your links, they enter your room voluntarily.

If you wanna make quick apps and you've never programmed before I'd start with VB. It'll allow you to produce functioning useful shit in the beginning rather than "hello world". I basically started out with basic many years ago but started VB when I got a decent computer. Once you get used to syntax and the general idea of object oriented programming, other languages will be a snap. VB is still the only language I've really studied or use very frequently, but I can whip up something in C++, perl, php, really anything I need to just as easily with some kind of simple web reference.

I would not recommend you just jumping in and promoting any sponsor in this manner, you must first contact them and explain the deal.

Chances are if you keep a well planned approach and honor when people request to be removed everything should be okay.

I wouldent say it's spam since the person joined at their own will, its similar to a person entering your website and ads are put forth to them.

However I highly doubt this idea will be worth it.
Traffic wise, it wont do much for you but I'm sure it will get a hit or two.

Let me know how it goes.

Ummm MSN Chat doesn't allow URLs in messages or PMs. The filters have them off by default and no one turns them on, what good would a program be? lmao

As far as Yahoo chat goes, you can get your hosting terminated from spam complaints and you will get 3 or 4 complaints a month. I know people that have been termed from it. You also get complaints to your sponsor.

Why would your hosting be terminated with Yahoo Chat Bots?
The bots are not on their servers.

Email spam can get your terminated with your host because you clogged up the servers, get complaints and suck up resources.

Funniest thing is the people complaining to your host and sponsor are most likely other webmasters/spammers.

lol yes it's true... some haters don't like competition because they know the new guy is probably making more money than them.

To answer Senator's question... your hosting gets termed because spam is spam. "Advertising to an unsolicited audience" ... Even though you aren't mailing off of your host's servers, you are still sending people to your sites, from a spamming method. Yahoo will show in your host's referring logs etc. Some hosts might warn you or whatever, if they are spam friendly... but most hosts and sponsors like clickcash will term ya for it.

Currently exploring a few things...Have to do some more testing on it.

Before the updates, there were many exploits/holes allowing them freely to ALL.

Most bots just saved themselves the trouble and made a msg saying "Copy and paste: domain.com in your browser" and If the person find their way onto MSN CHAT, I'm sure the recipent is capeable of alittle c+pin

I hate this thread -- but it hurts so good.

I actually did a lot of research into this shit last summer but I couldn't find code to get into the system so I kindof did a workaround... but I guess I didn't have enough yahoo accounts to make it worth while... anyway I'm impressed buy the guys coding this shit in C++ and essentially hacking into Yahoo and fucking them up -- on the other hand I always suspected Yahoo blocked outsiders as much as possible only to use their own private spam bots (without anyone being able to point the finger of course)...

I'm really good at writing shit for the bots to say that's vague enough that it fools a lot of the chatters :p

Yahoo's made at least 10 major changes to their rates/protocols, even dropped protocols entirely(remember html chat?) because of me. I used to know a yahoo tech who would give me the inside scoop about who at yahoo was bitching about my spam

And my hat goes off to you, Mr. Fly for repackaging information that can be obtained for free on any resource site and selling it to n00bz. (that's not sarcasm btw!)

lol sounds good, I'm really not into any sort of deception for the recipient...I just give it to them straight...rather than have the bots idle around....

What I usually have done is the bots work in a chain jumping from room to room untill all is covered for that session, after that just refresh and loop back around with a different message/url.

Mr Fly is a hustler, most of us would not think of selling needed information. I'm sure he made quite a bit of money from that.

I figured that... Same goes for the search engines too probably -- enough money and u can pay off whoever u need to...

FYI: None of it is repackaged. I wrote every word myself. There's only about 2 sentences in there that I adapted from another resource on search engines -- the rest is all based on personal observations and experience.

Fly you should take up selling info on eBay, I know quite a few guys who make a bit of $$$ just selling/reselling and relaying information over.

But let's not get off topic....
Anyway my original question was...what would be a fair price a person would be willing to pay for such Chat Bots with all the extras, including semiautomated account creator/generator?
Full proxy support...and a bunch of other 'stuff'.
[keeping in mind only limited copies are released ][Read Above]

I'm not really too much into selling applications, I would just like to see what the market is like out there.

Thanks Guys

I would pay about 2500-3000 with updates. Yahoo seems to change all the time.

This sounds interesting. If anyone has a 100% working bot that gets past all the filters etc.. I might be interested in purchasing it.
