This 86 year old man crashes through a cement baracade and then drives 2 1/2 blocks killing 9 people and sending over 40 more to the hospital.

While they were still cleaning the bodies off the ground he was released and sent home.

He said "I mistook the gas for the brake!"

Call me stupid, but if you keep pressing a pedal and the car is going faster and you're killing people would you not try the other pedal?

This is just fucking sick, a 3 year old girl was killed!

When his car stopped there were 2 dead bodies stuck to the hood of his car.

And he has been let go and may in the future get charged. As of right now he's being described on the news as a very nice guy!

Fucking amazing! Look at them videos 2 1/2 blocks with dead bodies on the hood!

And they show this guy on TV smiling!

The best part is his last driving test was 3 years ago and he only took a writting test, not even a driving exam!

If they don't charge him with some crime, then it's going to tell other older people that they don't have to consider whether they should still be driving because they won't get in any trouble even if they do fuck up.

I don't think he should be burned at the stake, but they should charge him with something and make him go through a trial. He needs to pay some price to society for what he's done.

it's really too bad for an accident like this. one wouldn't think it would take someone 2.5 blocks to realize their error, especially when they crash through items more sturdy than a person. this man obviously shouldn't be driving, and someone else one would think would have curbed this earlier.

hell, if i did something like that, i'd be going to prison for life. nobody in their right mind would mix up the pedal for that long, especially crashing through things, and people. they'd at least let up on the gas (which a concrete barricade would stop).

but really, you ever think about this? what if this old bastard thinks he's had a worse like than all of us. what if he knows he doesn't have much left in this world. what if he knows people don't blame the elderly when they kill a horde of people in a "mix up" while driving. what if he was sitting there, saw the people, and said "fuck it, society has fucked me, so i'm taking some of those poor bastards with me", and ran down a bunch of pedestrians to release some rage? he knew he'd get away with it, so why not? bet a lot of people don't think about that.

he deserves involuntary manslaughter or whatever it is at the bare minimuim.

that's what I was saying. If it was me at 28, and I said I got confused after I crashed and lost my head and got the pedals mixed up i'd be in jail right now already convicted!
