I'm thinking of offering erotic story content.

What is the demand like for story content these days? And what categories/niches are ppl looking for?

Also, how do most ppl prefer to purchase.... license or lease?

Story content is good to have on your sites. Anything which can keep a subscriber interested in the site is a good thing.

However I wouldn't invest too heavily in it, people who read stories can read, people who read are probably statistically "smarter" than many surfers, therefore they can probably find asstr.org soon enough.

I have bought (licensed) some story content and my stats show that some people will read them, however it's probably less than worthwhile to waste too much time and money on stories. I certainly would not lease story content.

Magazine style leased content is probably a better way to go if you are leasing.

When it comes to stories, I have found that most of the webmasters who I write for purchase semi-exclusive licenses or custom stories for their paysites.

These stories are mainly niche stories and with most of them I have weekly through to monthly orders. I also write serials for some - and I have been told that they retain a lot of members because the stories are added on a regular basis...

I have also found that in my own paysite the exclusive stories that are written are well read. In fact I have members hitting us up all the time waiting for the next episode of some serials... even though they know when the next one is due...

Once again it depends on the niche...

i don't have any stories yet. just trying to get a feel for what the demand is.
