TPG Frustration

Ok... here I come with another fucking newbie question.

I am getting very frustrated with these TGP's.... I am submitting and not getting listed except for EasyPic.


What the fuck am I doing wrong. I follow their rules, and still nothing.

Btw, it takes time to get listed. You think you're the only one submitting? There's about 50,000,000 more like you-- And many TGP's just update 20 new galleries a day.

Yep and as more and more TGP's start using hosted galleries the more difficult it will be for submitters to get accepted.

especially with sponsor provided content, non-series pages (which we might just be able to list as hosted galleries if we want)

In my experience i've never had a gallery listed at the hun where I put any recips up including his own. I always get mine listed when there are no recips up. You might try that. Personally I would start at some smaller TGPs and maybe get partner accounts with those and then work your way into the larger tgp's. If you would like to submit to groovythumbs. It's a decent size tgp and my traffic is growing daily. I would gladly take your galleries. If they are all like what you have shown they are clean enough for me. supply and demand. there's just way too many submitters and not enough spots for everyone. only thing you can do is just keep at it until you start getting listed.

In my case, the difference between being listed and not would be the large brandmark on each image. If I'm looking at hundreds and hundreds of gallerys to list daily, I will always list one with smaller or no marks over one that has a very large one. Sure they're cute.. but annoying as heck to visitors.

NBDesign, If your a newbie it would be better to get into AVS then it would be to get into TGP. It is harder and harder to get listed because of alot of things, hosted galleries, to many trying, etc. Plus it's just not worth the frustration and work for some weak traffic. You would be better off joining up with CyberAge and use their free content and hosting and start some AVS sites. Then when you get some dough in your pockets you can use your knowledge from using Cyber Age's free shwag and get your own host and then use mulitiple AVS system's and make even more money. Plus there are alot of other AVS that have free hosting and free content, but CA is so newbie friendly.

When you first start submitting to TGP's its going to take about a month of submitting every day before you see any real traffic.

Two reasons for this, 1 is that most of the bigger sites have backlogs of gallery submits ranging from 2-4 weeks +.

2 is that TGP owners don't want to list you the first time you submit because there's 8000 assholes out there who buy domains by the bushel and submit galleries and then re-direct them to offshore clicks, they do this with new domains every day so even blacklisting the domains and email addy's doesn't help.

They want to see your galleries over a long enough period of time that they can feel a little safer that you're not going to delete the gallery and redirect the traffic.

Using paid for content will definitely get you more traffic than using free sponsor content.
If you can't afford paid content then the very least you can do is find a sponsor that offers content but DOES NOT offer hosted galleries. If the sponsor offers hosted galleries then odds are the TGP owner is using them and won't list your gallery (why would he want to compete with himself for signups to the same site?)

Once you get about 5 good looking galleries built, go apply for parter status with every TGP that offers it.

I guess I am still trying to figure out which TGP's take what content and creating galleries with their logos that match... as it is now, I have TGP logos on pages that will not take me and I need to weed those one's out.

Fucking Thumbzilla rejected me for one or more of 8 reasons in their email.

Not sure which though, my galleries are nice an plain... maybe too plain for them LOL

Yes its very possible that most of the places you've submitted to haven't even looked at your gallery yet.

That doesn't necessarily mean you'll get listed when they see it, but it does mean you haven't been rejected or anything

No, I thought that is what I was applying for. Confusing site... Tried to submit, it wanted something (forget what now) so I tried to sign up for what ever I got rejected for.

Sorry, still to new to fully understand everything that is going on with the TGP's.

Personally, I think TPG's should be banned. Again, this is just my opinion, but to me, people that go to TGP's are only looking for FREE content and will not sign up for anything. Hell, that's all I used them for. LOL

Again, still too new to make an acurate jugement, just an opinion.

Yeah you're right, TGP surfers want it all for free and never sign up for anything. I just make galleries because I'm independently wealthy and bored

your goal should be 1:5000 unique impressions. once you can get that you're laughing. but anything under 1:25k is good and i would say 1:50k is avg for good gallery submitters.

thats more than enough to make some good money with tgp's. surfers do sign up if you promote the right sites and have a good sales pitch.

Use the same name and email address every time you submit.
Having different layouts won't hurt you at all, it'll probably help. There's a shitload of people out there who only have one template and they use it every fucking day....blows my mind.

Why do we need more TGP's? Just to make it easier for gallery designers (PLEASE don't call yourselves webmasters) to get listed? Unless the market (the people who visit the TGP's) grow in numbers, this will accomplish little more than making it less and less remunerative to put galleries up.

...Which, come to think of it, ain't such a bad-sounding thing!
