One wonders if we are seeing the end to porn as it becomes less profitable to produce.

Most content is now free on tubes and Twitter and so on.

With age verification as well being introduced to many countries it makes selling it much harder.

AI produces in seconds anything you want to see and often via a free service.

Plus thousands of onlyfans and other models pumping out junk each day and models on webcam free, it makes you we’d indef if in five yo ten years time we will see any porn sites left on the internet that are a pay model.

AI porn is quite literally the corniest thing ever. If you think you're just going to be able to vibe-prompt yourself into porn profitability, I'd advise you to read about META's metaverse and search up a few Huggles threads.

The profits are being redirected from being funneled into big pay sites to being directed to the few big platforms that run shit since the "great consolidation" and then spread thinly directly to real performers.

yes it is still very profitable - what is lacking is creativity. Every girl seems the same and generic and the porn given to tubes is vanilla. The ones that are dancing on the edge and truly know how to speak and perform to audiences survive and grow.

AI porn again as mentioned is to short and at times to perfect. I know a few who set up a few sites that never did well but the girls were AI and not. Then others who used random real life girls you meet and sales are through the roof.

You're overthinking it, porn will always be profitable because people are willing to pay for what they really want - and that's often not the generic stuff. Focus on finding a niche that's underserved and own it, that's where the real money is.

Good point, I've watched enough naked and afraid to see people starting at about 190 lbs, down to 150 and being like "i feel so much better"... probably not the case for sex.

This. You have to develop, take vanilla and do a point better than the others and it still sells.

Seeing all the models I worked with getting managed by OF agencies it's always the same story, lot's of social media noise and teasers and the final product on fansites generic boring stuff in bad quality.

It's too much free glamour show and too less substance. Consumers still pay a lot for customs. Generic is almost dead.

The question about AI porn is if it's enough for consumers, for the ones who enjoy technical perfect artsyfartsy HQ stuff it will be for sure.
