I love it when the guys with the 350's and the boxters get all defensive when they hear that some Joe who bought a 19 thousand dollars bone stock Dodge SRT 4 can blow their doors off.
I don't know where that one guy with the 350 got his info but those numbers are not correct. 0-60 and 1/4 mile the Neon takes the Z, boxter and camaro. And this little Dodge is bone stock. When Mopar comes out with parts ina few months it will be even faster. Now what can I do to make my girlfriend enjoy driving fast? She says if I continue to do it she will not suck my dick any more as a punishment. i have a big problem becuase to be honest I like driving fast more than I do getting head. But I wont tell her that. |

that 350z spyder still looks fuckin sweet though |

That's where most Dodge vehicles are built now. More Toyotas are built in the good ol' USA than there are Dodges. |
true the 350 is one of the best looking cars. Especially in my rear view mirror :-)
Yes, I noticed that Mexico shit too. I think the entire engine is made there. Oh well, maybe the extra work will keep'em from coming here.. |

You sound like the only real Import Tunner in here! I have a 2k EBP Honda Si that's been my project car since I bought it and I have prety much the same MODs. Just waiting on a new T3/T4 to replcae my 18g pice of crap Greddy turbo I had on it. Just like real tunners, Sans Rice. No System, but almost as much REAL Carbon Fiber as a Mclarren F1!! The power to weight ratio is deff. a key point. The torque in the car is almost equal to the 315hp it put out last run on the dyno, at about 15lbs of boost, which really makes a majopr difference on the road, track, and highway. I took a few webmasters for a spin at the last August Internext show, and they were quite impressed that this plain looking Honda Civic Si that rolled out of the Diplomat Valet, was womping on just about everything we met on the SoFla roads! So much so, they thought about building one as a project. But besides all the Mods and Balls it may posess it's still "JUST" a Civic. I couldn't get Aria Giovanni in it if I payed her as much as Andrew Blake or BoneProne Fam!! Now if I pull up in my 650hp Boosted M5 in August, I just MIGHT have a chance. :Graucho As everyone with car sense mentioned, put any of these sport compact cars up against a highly tunned Supra, or Porshe, and it's all over! But it sure is FUN! :stoned |
Since I stopped driving I've lost weight, I'm in better shape, I get more sun, I meet more people... I walk or run or bike at least 1-2 hours/day...
Down the main strip of my town I can beat just about any car on my bike because I don't have to stop for a red light or for cops :1orglaugh I admit driving was fun, but it gets old... I have way more fun on my bike. I realized that driving was mostly for my big ego -- I have no need for a car... I can walk to dozens of restuarants and I hate grocery shopping. When you drive you waste time and energy and you're getting fat sitting in it... and you're more likely to be audited by the IRS with a nice asset on your record... also now I can move to NY or out of the country and not have to worry about selling my car... Granted not every city is friendly to people without automobiles, but now I appreciate living in a community and not in gridlock. Probably none of you care -- but I figured I'd offer my advice... I've had a car since highschool... but last year it started bothering me that I owned a car... all the hassle of the paperwork and the bills and the upkeep and the cops, but mostly it was about my freedom... Realize that driving is mostly a way for the government to keep you under control... if you don't do this or that then you lose your car or your driving privledges... fuck the government! I'm not a dog on a leash. Take your roads and run them up your ass -- I don't need them. So what if you can do 0-60 in 2 seconds or 500 seconds... it's all relative. I have this job so that I'm not in a hurry to get anywhere... I can't emphasize how good I feel to not have a car... I only pay two bills every month -- my rent and my phone bill! I haven't bought a stamp in months and months... Anyway that's my big post for today... I'm going to walk over to the university and get some lunch :) |
thefly, so in other words you can't afford it ? :1orglaugh

Neons handle worth shit. I'll be blowing by you in the BMW while you're rolling your neon! |

I'm beginning to see a trend... Do you have all the docs for that car Sobe? |

Cheap isnt best. I rather be in a BMW or some other german car going 200MPH where i know i will be able to keep control of the car rather than a neon which i'd probably lose it should i hit a bump in the road! |
50 biatches
Thats one quick little egg beater. I would hate to be next to it im my Audi. They sure have come a long way. Go back as little as 5 years ago, to get a car that does 0-60 in under 6 sec. would have cost you 50K. |

I bought the Z becuase i wanted it, not because i was bargin shopping. I had to pay 3k over just to get the car shipped in. the z and the neon are in different classes.
kids dream of driving the neon adult dream of driving the z |

14.2 1/4 mile is SLOW compared to most sports cars built. You know nothing about cars. It's a Neon. Big whoop. A 350Z would eat you alive, don't lie spam bag. Business can't be that good if all you can afford is a fucking Neon! Yay! A girl's car.....:1orglaugh Wheee!!!! |
I am not disagreeing with any of you that a BMW or Porcshe or 350 Z are better cars. They weigh about 1500 pounds more too. And for the record I could afford a much more expensive car but that is not the point. The point is that America, the most innovative country in the world has for the first time created a machine that is the fastest production car every made for under 20 thousand dollars. I can appreciate this so I bought one. It was an easy sale. And for those of you that areskeptical and say the car handles like shit etc I suggest you drive a neon srt4 first and then come here and give your comments. The car has the same size tires as the Z and weighs about 1300 pounds less. Trust me it is a very well balanced and good handling car. Anyone want to race?
Now how about buying some 210 HardCore Video picture sets for just $1200.00 from SoBeGirl? I need the money so that I can get a bigger turbo from Mopar :-) |

"Why would you give a fuck what she thinks" I mean you have to up to a point but I have so many friends that let thier lives get dictated by the Girl Friend. C'mon is that what you want to be told for the rest of your life what you will or wont do????? I firmly believe a good woman likes a man who calls his own shots |
BTW.......
I actuaslly think this tuner car thing is pretty cool. It is not my flavor of performance but it reminds me of when me and all of my friends were out finding anything that had a V* in it and just building the shit out of it. Right now the Focus SVT, Neon SRT, Subaru, Mitsu Evo are the Mustangs, Camaros Chargers, and chevelles of todays youth. Although I am sad to see the rumbling of the V8 moving on to the high price bracket the spirit of the muscle car is still alive and well. This is the exact philosophy detroit had when the muscle car revolution was started. Take a basic commuter car strip it of all the frills, bump up the horse power and they will line up at the door to buy and go lay black marks on pavement....sounds like Detroit and Japan are going old school to me......fuck the analysts lets get back to selling cars that are fun for the kids...i love it I would never drive one but I can appreciate the whole thing from behind the wheel of a 69 big block camaro |
Quote:
And do not lead yourself to believe that this is a new game either ....go back to the early 80's and your neon box racer was an omni intercooled GLHS before that it was a duster....before that a dart....before that...... point...this is not revolutionary |
Jim, I think it is revolutionary. Just like the mustang cobra is. For example, the cobra has 400 horsepower for under 35 grand. No othere car can match that. If you want 400 hp in a car other than the ford you have to spend at least 50 grand. It puts that kind of performance in the reach of a lot of folks that would other wise only dream about it. Just like the little noen Srt :-)
Do you really have 20,000 hours of porn? that is enough to make anyone go blind |

From edmunds.com SRT-4 Curb Weight: 2939 lbs 350Z Track Model Curb Weight: 3225 lbs Weight Difference: 3225-2939 = 286 lbs. |
Track Model Curb Weight-----
what does that mean Track Model. Does that mean it does not have all the creature comforts of a production model. Like a passenger seat? With out it being the track model it can eaisly be 500 pound or more heavier... |
The 350Z Track Model is the heaviest trim of the 350Z. It has all the comforts of the other 350Zs.
If you want I can do the calculation with the base model 350Z which has a curb weight of 3188lbs. |

You're waiting for a red traffic light, a < fill in any superbike here >
pulls up, you rev your engine, he laughs, the light jumps green as you step on it you look to your side and see........ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. With 1 illusion less you get off the pedal and ask yourself.....I would have sworn there was a bike right next to me just a few microseconds ago............ 1 comfort.....if you were in a ferrari you would have felt the same dissapointment. DynaMite :thumbsup p.s. $20K buys you a kickass ducati! $10K buys you a damn fine Jap superbike |
This is what I wish to be able to show the cars I drive by one day :)

the srt-4 actually handles great. if you've driven it, which i doubt you have, and you say it handles like shit, its surely the nut behind the wheel(THE DRIVER). you did what most bad drivers do though, went out and bought a better performing car to make up for your lack in driving skills :) most of you "car buffs" are such haters. you ragged me out about one lap, and holy shit, i came in 13th overall out of 84 cars in a totally bone stock 27k piece of ricer crap(evo8) :D but, anyways...congrats on a nice car. im not a dodge fan, but i know a nice car when i see one |

I am thinking about getting an SRT. I have a regular Neon and a PT Cruiser. I'm also definitely getting a Razor and maybe a Charger if they ever come out. Gotta support the family business.
