PageRank 9 available.

A domain got picked up that still has Pagerank 9. It's available for quick sale. The domain owner wants $3500 for it.

I won't reveal the name for obvious reasons. If you want it, contact me.

Not bad. Some people are charging $900 monthly for a PR9 link.

Why is he selling?

I believe it was a financial niche. Odd name, but PR is verified. I assume he's selling it just because he wants (or needs) some quick cash.

Just a note, if you are american, don't put porn on it, that would violate that new amber alert bill that they are passing/passed in the US government.

He just got it. I saw no backlinks when I checked. I couldn't find it listed in Yahoo or Dmoz. This probably indicates why the bigger competitors didn't catch it. There are some 7's and 6's available (ready-to-register) in a list too, but the buyer of this name gets first shot at them.

I don't know why it's Pagerank 9, but it definitely is.

A PR9 with no backlinks? The highest PR I've seen with no backlinks was a 6 and I thought that was impressive. Anything special about the domain like a one-word keyphrase or otherwise to get the high PR?

If you put porn up it wouldn't be PR9 for very long. best to leave it as it is and spin off a few links.

Don't be silly. The links have most likely all been dropped and the PR will go back to 5 on the next PR update. Google updates PR values seperately from the dance.

I've heard Google now monitors whois, so if you change it into your name it might start over at a PR 0.

Maybe this is a lie, but I read it at Search Engine Forums and Webmaster World so it could be true.

You might want to confirm before you spend $3k.

Most possibly that domain nameservers are pointed to IP of a domain with PR9 thus showing the same PR but not backlinks. I already registered some of such domains and they were useless because I was relying only at toolbar and not on backlinks.
PR9 with no backlinks is mission impossible, that would require hundreds thousands of PR4s.

If it shows no backlinks in google, its worthless. Odd that it would show PR9, but wierder things have happenned...

for example make a new geocities site - BAM instant pr7 .. its guessed pagerank tho - not real pagerank. I am with the guy above .. probably on a shared server with the same IP as a genuine PR9 site.....

no backlinks = no pagerank. A pr9 would have to have a number of backlinks from other PR9s or one from a 10 (which is HIGHLY unlikely..)

Good luck to whoever forks out a fortune for it tho..

No shit. Thats why I love this place.

Why are you selling a million 'quality' hits for $500?

"I have to sale quix, have surplus traffix"

Why does your $3500 PR9 domain have no links and why sell when you can charge monthly like everyone else?

"I don't know"

Why are you selling a "profitable TGP"?

"I nned quix money and am getting out business"

Why do you shave?

"We have to pay for hosted galleries"

Yahoo profile pages used to be an instant PR7.

Can't help but notice Google will not spider & index these pages or count them twords PR consistently.

Lots of PR discussion going on today.

I do have to question the no back link deal. I was curious about this though. This is a post from my member forums:

Quote:
I snapped up 3 domains on sunday morning while sipping my coffee, one of them had 93 backward links in Google. Registered the domains, declared the new name server and all that, and this morning (monday), I went to see whether these domains were resolving with my browser, and low and behold, it turns out that not only were the backlinks not dropped by Google before I got them - but the domains were a PR 7 and 2 PR 4s, so I am a very, very happy camper today...
Note, on the PR7 he found...it only had 93 backlinks!
So some quality linking considering the filtering going on out there these days as mentioned above with Yahoo profile pages being filtered and such.

Nice to be able to snap one up though!

$3500 seems kinda steep though. Especially when you can snatch em up much cheaper!

c'mon now,
a real PR 9 site would be worth about $100k if not more.

there only a few PR9 sites out there.

?? I have created PR7 site with 4 backlinks. Number of links has nothing with PR. PR9 site would require on rough estimate at least 20 PR7 links or hundreds of PR6 or thousands of PR5 links. All of these would show as backlinks.

As for your member post quote, best regards to him, but Google drops expired domains not after they expire, but after they are up again with new whois creation date. Of course they keep their PR still, because Google doesn't update PR on the fly. They will be penalized after next update and their PR will drop to PR0.

Some of you guys can be so clueless. Sure this is a greater risk than a simple new registration, but the payoff stands to be much higher too. I own several PR 7 expired domains that have not lost their pagerank. I pickup good domains all the time and my traffic is almost always increasing. The biggest advantage others have, is that there are people like you. Those of you that immediately dismiss potentially powerful sources of traffic based on whatever SEO rumors you've heard. Yes, this name is worthless to you, because you wouldn't know what to do with it anyway.

Those who know what I'm talking about realize this name can very possibly pay for itself many times over long before an update takes place.

Clueless would be selling a genuine PR9 domain name for $3500....

I'm not suggesting that.. I'm suggesting that IF this site has a REAL pagerank of 9, why would you sell it for $3500? A domain like that could make that much every hour.. why sell it?

And you arent the owner.. so don't go thinking I'm attacking you.. I'm merely questioning the price..

My guess...
It's just the price he thought he'd accept for a brand new name. High enough to offset the loss he would feel and give him some quick cash that he needs. Low enough to be worth the gamble. The longer he keeps it, the less risk involved. He'll have time to see the hits, where they're coming from, if the PR transfers well. Once those risks are removed, you can bet the name won't be for sale anymore.

Shal do, had to brush my teeth..

1. It would take someone all of 48 hours to verify that this domain could pass on PR and be effective.. Why sell it now when he could link to a few new pages somewhere and see what freshbot thinks of it? Quick cash my ass... he could make 10x that within a week...

2. Sure you can have PR without backlinks that show in google - but you will find that google only shows backlinks of PR 4 or higher ... PR1,2,3 etc arent always shown... but with the exponential nature of the pagerank system, it would take hundreds of thousands of these links to create a PR9

3. If you think this is such a brilliant deal why did you come to GFY to let someone else have it? Why not buy it yourself and make serious bank?

4. Only a fucking IDIOT would sell a pagerank 9 domain name....

Oh and let me add that with google still dancing, new PR values for this update arent showing yet... maybe this explains the unload it quick methodology...

I mean, if someone as knowledgable in these things as yourself Brujah, doesn't snap this one up, It really makes me wonder why not....

I've already got a link on it, so in time I'll get to see how well it will do and it didn't cost me anything.

Nothing fishy about this, you dumb fucks. If it was a sure thing, you'd be lucky to pay $3500 for a single link. The only reason it's so cheap has been posted more than once in this thread already.
