Cambria, i think his first name is Paul. Author of the famous 'Cambria List' - represents many of the big adult video studios. Not a business attorney, he's the expert on obscenity issues and that type of thing.

Think he's based in New York, upstate, probably has an office in L.A. I would think.

Someone's in the know! Are you an attorney yourself?

And don't forget Larry Flynt's legal eagle Alan Isaacson!

I love attorneys and have several of them don't get me wrong. I was Pre-Law in college myself, so I should talk.

I just think attorneys worry about "Billable Minutes" too damn much and look for every way possible to protract out the time litigating parties go back and forth with each other.

Last year between all my businesses the legal bills were in 6 figures. That just makes me cringe.

One time I got a bill from a firm I used to use in LA, and the pricks had itemized charges for the number of fucking paper clips that were used for our files. I went bonkers on that bs when I was paying $295 an hour. Talk about going for every penny.

Write to them and tell them that unless they lose the stationery charges they lose your business. Usually gets them moving. Some US attorneys are bigger crooks than the guys they reperesent.

Here is the thing to remember, everything is negotiable. Lawyers operate a business and fees, costs, expenses, etc.... can all be discussed and negotiated in advance. In the past 10 years I have only come across one client that was smart enough to address these issues at the outset of litigation, but they did, and ended up saving somewhere in the range of $250,000.00.
