But here's the thing - That one came to an addy that Ive only ever used a couple of times right here on GFY and never used anywhere else. I've not even put it here in a 'live' form for automatic harvesting.

If you had it in your sig, then it was harvested by e-mail collector bot, that is why i use scr im service to prevent e-mail harvested, and as result i am not receiving any spam on that e-mail.

I got some e-mails with password included as well, three of them actually, but pretty easy to deduct how they got them - many web services got compromised, and usernames/e-mails and password leaked and got into public hands .I can even see from where exactly they got them and who had security leaks. Since i use unique password for every service, having some of them compromised does not represent a security threat.

I got one of these extortion emails too. I sent the fucker a much better video of me jacking off plus a list of all my friend's emails so he could send it to them as well. I also sent him my Bitcoin address and told him he owes me $50 and send it right away or I'm telling his goddamn mother. Dumb ass sent the $50. Case closed.

Ya, I use to get them all the time. I knew it was a scam cause of 3 reasons.
1) I covered my webcam years ago.
2) my laptop lid with the taped webcam is 80% closed (I have a dock with two 23" displays for my laptop).
3) I wear pantyhose over my head when I jerkoff in case 1 or 2 fail. (that one is sarcasm)

Many times people reuse passwords. The usernames and passwords are given away for free on some forums. Password dumps from fitbit, aff, gamesalad, myspace, zooville(a beasty site) and so on. I bought access to weleakinfo.com for a few days.

Saw some passwords I used. The extortion racket is thriving with the info that is leaked out there now.
