I hit the grocery store at the right time!

Top Sirloin Steak less than half price!

So huge I cut them in half for the freezer.
I guess it was "surf and turf" day since tuna in the can was half price too.

If you only go to the grocery when you actually need food then you miss all the
good bargains and everything.

The amount of money I save by just going to the grocery store more often is just stupid!!

Sales are on a 6 week rotation.. 6 weeks from now meat will be on sale like that again.
The depts rotate in and out.. there are websites out there that post and tell you how to stack coupons for whatever products are on sale that week.. you'll notice that most other grocery stores have their meet discounted or have huge coupons for the meat right now too..

That's how most of your thrift spenders save.. every 6 weeks they buy all the meat needed.. because it's the cheapest... starting out you have really unequal amounts of food... but it works out in the end.

If I had a huge freezer and ate lots of meats, I'd be all over sales like that. My local grocery store around thanksgiving has a mazing deals, but turkeys are big and you need room lol.

I go to the local store on Tuesdays to get those bags of salads on sale for 99c each. I like the garlic caesar as well as other varieties

You gotta stock up while the things are on sale. They space it apart enough to where it feels like a pleasant surprise every time it comes up again.

Yes, it surely seems like a cycle they have going.

I will notice certain things rotating from low to high on a regular schedule.

So I'm not accurate with the timing, but I go often enough to catch some good deals.

This store by me keeps selling $4-5. CAD frozen pizzas, all diff kinds.

It's about half price or whatever, anyway it keeps tricking me into buying fucking frozen pizzas. Just cuz they are almost free. I'm in there with my gf "another free pizza?" "..yeah sure why not"

I feel like I am getting paid to eat the fucking things. The Canadian dairy board has set cheese prices I believe, this cost seems like it wouldn't even pay for the cheese.

Good points. A freezer would pay for itself in short order.

And half price on top sirloin.. if you get their sale sched down that's great!

I did catch the top sirloin myself one time for half price.. never knew about the 6 week sale turnover rule though. Went back, reg price, bought bottom sirloin.. but not nearly as good and tender as top.

It's tricky though, with meat you can stock up but if ya buy too much your eating the same thing alot and turnover isn't fast enough and stuff gets old.

Tricky biz homemaking is.
