Trump wants to step up legal imigration
Yep... need any more evidence that all republicans are still looking to keep wages suppressed.
This report from FOX.... LOL https://www.foxnews.com/politics/tru...ment-is-so-low The one time we might actually have true wage growth this century... now this LOL Consumer inflation continues to rise if you have not noticed and we really have not rolled through the uncounted unemployed and the underemployed. Some are working 2 and 3 jobs because they are all part time jobs. because many of those uncounted are getting jobs is the only reason there has not been wage inflation the fed has feared. We do have a shortage of people trained for certain jobs because they went where the pay is good, even if not what they were trained for. Normally biz would provide that training to fill their need, but now-a-days, they want the government to train these folks. More Corporate welfare. Hey... the only 2 reasons I don't hire is, nobody is willing to work for what I'm willing to pay if they were trained for what I need. So why don't you train them for me so it still don't cost me any more and I can keep paying near min wages. Everything is a farce ! |

Thanks for admitting that illegal immigrants flooding across the border, hurt the nation, workers, legal immigrants and the economy and is the very cause of wage stagnation.
Wages which have been rising consistently as illegal immigration plummets in the last couple years. That was nice of you. given your stance on partisan politics. That was a very nice compliment for Trump and his policies.

Importing more workers, whether it's picking fruit or doing surgical operations is bad for the economy of most of the residents. At one end it suppresses wages at the other it reduces the cost of training residents to do the more complex jobs. Why spend billions training people when you can just import them?

Thanks for admitting that Republicans are mad that the loss of illegals is raising wages so they need to now figure out how to get the illegals back.. That was sweet of you to admit that given your political stance..

If there is no qualified US citizens are available to fill the job, you can't argue that it lowers wages. Wages only stagnate or decrease when you have illegals willing to do the same job, cheaper. Furthermore, thanks to unprecedented jobs numbers and record low unemployment, there is an immediate need to fill available jobs... you know, that thing that fuels economic growth. So.... you're welcome for that explanation.

Everyone knows that the flow of people is hurting wage growth. That is the point. The problem is most do not seem to realize that the Republicans do not want a change in the way immigration (legal and illegal) is happening today or it certainly would have changes multiple times in the last 15-20 years. They want to suppress wages plain and simple. Oh... they make excuses anytime they buck a immigration deal with something they can stand behind, but the truth is, they don't want a change in the status quo no matter what they are barking. Is anyone telling me that they could railroad those tax cuts but not immigration ? I support re-enforcing the border security and I also support stepping up legal immigration and giving amnesty to those that are here. get'm paying taxes like everyone else and then, enforcing min wages for all. The republicans say they will not support immigration bills because they grant amnesty to those that are here.... So what you have now is amnesty without saying so by not declaring it. Total wage suppression. And you are buying it ! You either chase them out or make them citizens. As long as they can be deported, the folks that hire them have total control like the closest form of slavery. Yes, the Republicans have had the power to change this... no excuses. But they make them. |

A Wall will only stop some illegals, but it will stop the worse of the illegals. Criminals and unskilled have less chance of getting a Visa. So they have to walk across in tunnels or on land. Not enough tunnels to accommodate all those wanting to use them. They will get discovered and the most lucrative product for smuggling, drugs, get obstructed. Stricter enforcement of laws for employers is also called for. So are the Visa requirements. Would I and many other British photographers come here if Czech had a thriving community of magazine photographers to compete with? Apprenticeships has to be the roll of businesses, as it paying enough to attract more residents into bad jobs. Because importing workers is only cheaper for companies, cost the country billions. |

There has been quite a dilemma here that is not well known and never talked about. They have a bit of double standard they have to avoid. It seems that most of silicon valley and the tech giants here want to be able to hire hi-tech folks from India and some other areas of the world and have been doing so for the last 10 years+ replacing jobs that paid US folks 120k with benefits packages costing yet 20k more with these folks that are willing to come here on these visa's and work for 80k with benefit packages of 12k. So they lobbied for much of the immigration changes that they can not deny the same of the Mexican folks. It appeases the AG co's here enough to keep both sides in a pool of cheap labor. Politicians can not deny it, they created it at the request of and nearly written by US Company's. It's just one more case of Government for you, if you have the money to spend. Both party's are at fault no matter what they say. I blame the Republicans more, for it is they who command the issue every election and have been getting the results they desire for almost 20 years. They have stopped all legislation for any changes except to allow more of the same. But now it is a embedded feature in how things are done and to make a change now would have them all crying foul. Claiming how the cost of everything would go up. Tell that to the 100k hi tech collage educated folks that lost their jobs to Those to India. Where is the outcry ? The double whammy now is, who is going to spend 60-100k on a 4-6 year education when by the time you are ready for the workforce, you may be replaced by a legal immigrant but not citizen. It would be a stupid move in my book because you may never get your investment back. A self generated shortage now has to be filled by those on the outside. After the bank collapse, they laid-off most of silicon valley. Everyone thought it was do to the banking crisis. But then why did they start hiring all those from India ? But I am very tired of those who do not understand the so many details of what has been going on and who has caused it blowing smoke up everyone's ass. They don't really want to fix this. But they will talk about it and do other meaningless things to get your vote. A wall is meaningless without people to enforce it. If you have the people, you don't need the wall. It becomes a mere obstacle slowing them down. If the border patrol who gets the job done have requested it for certain areas, they should at least get consideration for it. And that is probably how the wall will play out in the end. But this does little to change Immigration and the cheap labor it provides preventing wage growth across all segments of the US economy, from the bottom up. So when this fails to do the job, what will they blame 3-6 years from now. |

Yeah, you hear that? That silence? That's everyone up in arms about curbing illegal immigration and reducing illegals flooding across the borders. Allowing illegals to flood across the borders and then protecting them is 100% Democratic behavior.

...and you know as well as I do that anyone can get around that rule just as Trump does. All they have to do is run a ad in a classified paper or online somewhere print receipt that they ran the ad then start pulling in foreign workers.. Trump hires fucking maids from overseas. You really so fucking full of shit that you are gonna claim there is no one in the united states who can qualify to be a fucking maid? are you really this fucking gullible or are you just full of shit.. Why am I against the wall? because it's a giant waste of fucking money, it will stop nothing because most illegals come here legally and just over stay their visas. Drugs are no flowing across open boarder sections either because they come through ports of entry hidden in other shipments. To move the amount of drugs the cartel moves they aren't wasting time having some dude carry a couple pounds through the fucking desert.. They dig tunnels under existing walls and ship in common freight.. You want to stop illegals then you go after the places that hire them and fine the fuck out of them.. Fine the fuck out of people like Trump every time he gets caught will illegals and suddenly he wouldn't hire a fucking illegal again.. You make it more expensive for him to hire illegals and then he will stop.. Why is it you Red Hats always ignore the fact Trump has been caught countless times with illegals at his resorts and on his construction jobs? Why is there so much silence about that from you guys?

Just remember this when they talk about allowing more 'LEGAL' Immigration...
They could start by giving legal citizenship status to those that are here now, but they will not, so they can bring more in. hmmmm...... That conversation will be coming sooner than you think. |

They all want legal and illegal immigration. Sad truth. Their reasons for why they want it, vary between cheap labor and increasing their voter base. But the common answer is both sides do not care about the current Americans. They love to say they do, but their actions are pretty clear.

Migration forces down wages, forces up welfare and poverty and rewards only the rich. In most cases it's long term effect for a country is bad. There are very few jobs a migrant can do that a civilian couldn't. Even what I do. Would I and many others have come to Czech if there was a thriving community of Czech content creators already working in the industry? Mass migration is only good for the rich. |
