I can't give you numbers. But don't misunderstand my answer. Maybe my answer was not clear.

It is just a fact that risk is more difficult to maage on cards outside the USA. That would be true for any processor.

Actually the biggest headache by far is dealing with the changes made by the card associations. Last year it was VISA and the IPSP registration. This year we have changes from Mastercard...

1. No.

2. None if you are prepared to accept the risks of card association fines. For example: 15 chargebacks on MasterCard transactions is a $25K fine, month 1 and it gets worse. This assumes you can find a bank that will give you a high risk account.

As for the $750, we don't move money from one account to another. It causes accounting issues.

You know the answer to that one. Just for us. What really pisses me off is that "high risk merchants" have lower chargebacks than "mainstream merchants". But we are an easy target.

Yes, but for high risk MC is 1% and Visa has non US thresholds as well and th efine amounts are higher.

And you are correct, in so far as I have never heard of a mainstream merchant being fined.

Not illegalas in against the law. But certainly out of Visa / MC compliance and they are therefore likely to be terminated.

I think the term you are looking for here is credit card laundering, which is a form of money laundering. Bottom line: Only Merchants can touch the money. We at EPOCH learned a painful lesson on this very subject 4 years ago. We are in litigation today as a result and suffered a loss of millions and reputaion in the process. We did however pay back every single penny.

ie. cross sells, check processing, denial processing, 30 minute trials, cancel discounts - etc - if these things will increase sales by X - you should be telling that.

to say - it increases transactions on average 6-10% - isn't giving away private information - for what www.x.com site is doing.

i wish processors would be more helpful - after accounts are set up - to make sure their customers are taking full advantage of those tools they have - to increase transactions - (which is good for all parties)

I understand your frustration. But the fact is that these stats belong to our client's. Once you are a client, you know what they are. To get your business we rely on word of mouth and the hope that webmasters will look at our revenue generating features. We think we have more than anyone else. We publish some of these at epochsystems.com/sales. It shows our features and some of those that particiapte in cross sells, etc.

I suspect that if we did publish stats that very few people would believe them.

Epoch clients get regualr emails and announcements from Rand with features as they are released. We will send Tech Support to your offices if you need that sort of help, to integrate features.

We want all Epoch clients to use all Epoch features because we will all make more money.

I agree that the system is flawed, but we try.
