:mad Have iBill gone mad?

I just received an e-mail from them saying they are putting our rate up by 0.35% (0.19% for you guys in the US) and introducing chargeback fees and refund fees.

Their scale for new business in Europe now reads:

$0 - $9,999 --> 17.35%
$10,000 - $24,999 --> 16.35%
$25,000 - $49,999 --> 15.35%
$50,000 and above --> 14.35%

Time to get a new back up processor I think.

That, or go with another entirely.

They mean, drop ibill alltogether. There are a lot of processors out there. Let ibill keep doing your rebills, have someone else as primary and another as secondary to do the new sales. Need someone that processes outside the US, www.acpay.com is one that comes to mind, there are a 1/2 dozen more. Do searches for what ppl recommend.

Oh, we are dropping them completely. They're currently our secondary processor and I'm looking for a new secondary processor to replace them.

(ACPay is based in London too, so we would have to pay local taxes if we used them - which rules that out... they seem pretty good apart from that though)

ACPay looks very nice and we have been testing them for some time.

However their affiliate system is not good. I would also say they are a tiny bit less likely to get the rebill as compared to Ibill.

Even so they seem the only choice on my horizon to replace Ibill if that should be required.

Everyone keeps saying that...

Why are they less likely to get the rebill? Cuz its so fuckin easy to cancel or what?

Here is a description of what is wrong in my case with AC Pays affiliate tracking.

You have to build a very very linear and standard tour to transmit the affiliate variable to the join page. The variable has to be passed through EVERY link.

If you have any protected content, and the surfer is directed to a join page by a 401 error handler the variable is lost. Actually if anyone knows how to transmit the shtml variable through an apache error handler I would be grateful...But I don't think it is possible.

Try Glo-bill. They rock in every possible way and I have moved my sites from iBill to Glo-bill a few months back and have been happy since.

Chargeback Fees

The following fees will apply to all clients of iBill:

A $15.00 flat fee for all credit card chargeback transactions presented against your account for all credit card types (Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover and JCB). The excess chargeback fee of 2.5% of total credit card sale transaction volume threshold will no longer apply.

Well most ISP's already have a chargeback fee besides the ones in the US. I guess it was all about the competition and the ISP's now see that this was bad for there money.
