USA drinking water found toxic by the EPA

"The implication for the general public of these calculations is clear. Recent, peer-reviewed toxicity data, when applied to EPA's standard method for controlling risks from toxic chemicals, require an immediate halt to the use of the nation's drinking water reservoirs as disposal sites for the toxic waste of the phosphate fertilizer industry.24"

Time to start selling water filters.

I saw a 20/20 episode where the salesmen used scare tatics to sell $4000 dollar filters to people.

Most filters don't remove fluoride! I'm trying to figure out what to drink now... The more I research this, the more clear it is that fluoride is toxic -- why do you think there's a warning label on your toothpaste not to swallow? It's lab proven to rot your brain...

My water has iron, zinc, lead, anthrax, small pox, and a whole lot of poisons in it.

It's really sad our government would fuck us like this...

http://thyroid.about.com/library/weekly/aa012401a.htm

"Fluoride added to over 62% of US water supplies is supposed to reduce tooth decay but these six studies from dental journals show it hasn't and, in fact, may have increased the likelihood of rotten choppers.

...

Therefore, swallowing fluoride doesn't reduce tooth decay but does cause dental fluorosis -- white spotted, yellow or brown stained and sometimes pitted teeth.

...

`Well, science proves the ADA is wrong about the claimed benefits of water fluoridation and they are wrong about the safety of water fluoridation, too'' says lawyer Paul Beeber, President, New York State Coalition Opposed to Fluoridation. ``Studies have linked fluoridation chemicals to increased blood lead levels, neurological defects, brittle bones, thyroid cancer and more,'' says Beeber. ``It's time for the media to challenge the science that supports water fluoridation and present the truth to the public. We've made it easy for the media to access the medline abstracts via the links below. No more excuses.

It's easy - drink spring water.

Nutritionists have been saying this for years.

Buy it at the store in 4 litre jugs or get it delivered in big bottles and rent a dispenser. Cook with it too.

And make sure you don't buy distilled water - it's always packaged similar to spring water.

Wow the more I read the more this scares the crap out of me...

"Despite dental pressure, 99% of western continental Europe has rejected, banned, or stopped fluoridation due to environmental, health, legal, or ethical concerns

Only about 5% of the world population is fluoridated and more than 50% of these people live in North
America. The Danish Minister of Environment recommended against fluoridation in 1977 because "no adequate studies had been carried out on its long-term effects on human organ systems other than teeth and because not enough studies had been done on the effects of fluoride discharges on freshwater ecosystems."

"In 1978, the West German Association of Gas & Water Experts rejected fluoridation for legal reasons and because 'the so-called optimal fluoride concentration of 1 mg per L is close to the dose at which long-term damage [to the human body] is to be expected.' "

Distilled water is as pure as you can get short of buying an expensive reverse osmosis/deionizer filtration system, which then produces clinicly pure water

The dose of fluoride most Americans now receive (1.6 - 6.6 mg/ day) overlaps and exceeds the dose shown to depress the thyroid (2.3 - 4.5 mg/day).

This looks like an excellent website... http://fluoridealert.org/

Anyway that's all for me tonight... 5am fuck!

I don't know if the British use fluoride or not, but many studies have proven that fluoride does not affect the health of your teeth unless it is directly applied orally... In fact exposure to too much fluoride causes teeth problems -- this can be attributed to drinking water, flouride pollution in the air, and on the food supply... Fluoride comes from pesticides, burning coal/petroleum, etc...

Here's a pic of fluoridation at work from too much fluoride! It's toxic waste and you are drinking it and eating it and brushing with it! It's poison... just do your research you will see...

Why fluoride is BAD They don't drink it in the wealthy town of Boca Raton, FL... Serge Operano is safe... Are you?

<img src="http://home.earthlink.net/~dcragoe/1111.jpg">
<img src="http://home.earthlink.net/~dcragoe/2222.jpg">

THIS IS DENTAL FLUOROSIS, sometimes described as mottled teeth or mottled enamel. It is the visible proof that destroys the myth about fluoridation and dental health. Mottled enamel is more than a cosmetic problem. It is, in fact, a disease caused by fluoride -- a conspicuous sign of systemic poisoning during the tooth-forming years. Mildly mottled teeth generally appear to be whiter than healthy teeth, with lines, flecks, or an overall opaque white surface. In moderate to severe cases, stains and pits are visible, as shown above.

Mild cases of this irreversible condition now afflict up to 80% of U.S. children in fluoridated areas. Even in non-fluoridated areas, fluoride sources other than drinking water have caused the degree of mottling shown here. In fact, according to the U.S. Public Health Service, fluoride makes dental enamel more porous, makes bone more brittle, and can lead to crippling arthritic deformities of the spine and major joints. Most authorities agree that excess fluoride leads to more dental decay.

You know the scrubbers on smoke stacks? That's where most drinking water fluoride comes from!

"In order not to kill everyone right around the fertilizer factory you have air pollution devices called scrubbers. Scrubbers capture the fluoride. They sell it to the cities that are fluoridating the water supply, and that's what goes into the water." http://home.earthlink.net/~dcragoe/

Here's mineral water sorted by fluoride levels...
http://www.pmgeiser.ch/cgi-bin/mineral?sort=f

605. Zephyrhills (USA) This is what I'll be drinking probably since they sell it around here...

I'm reading now that fluoride is used in chemical warfare... No wonder americans are fat -- their thyroid glands are fucked up from fluoride... fluoride limits the function of this gland which affects metabolism, hair loss, etc... looks like the dental industry is in on it too -- the more fluoride you consume, the more brittle your teeth and bones will be...

Looks like you are right bro... from what I'm reading, there are myths that distilled water isn't the best -- but they are all false... Distilled is the best as far as I can tell... Your body doesn't need to absorb minerals through water... pure water is the best to hydrate the body...

Distillation only removes contamination of shit that has a higher boiling point than water... Seems that the evaporation point of fluoride is about the same as water so distillation may not be effective to remove fluoride and other crap... Also I'm reading reverse osmosis filters out fluoride but it depends on the filters...

Some other fun facts... looks like fluoride was originally used as rat poison It eats through metal. Enjoy!

I'm just going to try to find the best bottled water that has been tested to show low levels of contamination...

some of those teeth don't appear to be very well cared-for in the first place.

if it is in fact poison, and does no good unless directly applied (other than the similarity of drinking the water to using mouthwash), then:

a) why has the overall dental health improved over the past several years since it's accepted in the drinking water, and why would country schools to a weekly flouride treatment for student to make up for the lack of flouride?

b) why haven't more people had problems due to the toxicity of flouride in our drinking water?

i am curious. i've heard some debate over the alleged flouride conspiracy, and i do realize that flouride can be very dangerous, but never anything substantial enough to prove it to me.

also, i don't belive i'd blame the US' obesity problem on flouride, i'd accredit that to laziness.

Honestly I don't care about improving my teeth with fluoridated tap water -- fluoride is already in all of your food (because it's in the air)... Most health organizations support that fluoride is only affective when applied directly to smooth tooth surfaces. My main concern is getting too much fluoride through tap water consuption.

Here's an interesting quote in reference to your comment, though I'm not really worried about my teeth with regards to fluoride...

"In some developing countries where sugar consumption is low - Nigeria and Uganda, for example - people are too poor to buy fluoride toothpaste, don't drink fluoridated water, don't visit dentists and certainly don't drink expensive bottled water. Yet according to the World Health Organization, their tooth-decay rates are half that of the United States."

As for proof... I will see if I feel different after a month of drinking and cooking better water. Honestly I don't like the taste of tap water anyway, not to mention the high levels of chlorine used in my town -- chlorine is not healthy either.

Check this out The pineal gland is very interseting, but you can research it on your own...

"When Luke found out that the pineal gland - a little gland in the center of the brain, responsible for a very large range of
regulating activities (it produces serotonin and melatonin) -was also a calcifying tissue, like the teeth and the bones, she
hypothesized it would concentrate fluoride to very high levels. The gland is not protected by the blood brain barrier and has a
very high perfusion rate of blood, second only to the kidney.

Luke had 11 cadavers analyzed in the UK. As she predicted she found astronomically high levels of fluoride in the calcium
hydroxy apatite crystals produced by the gland. The average was 9000 ppm and went as high as 21,000 in one case. These
levels are at, or higher, than fluoride levels in the bones of people suffering from skeletal fluorosis. It is these findings which
have just been published.

It is the ramifications of these findings which have yet to be published. In the second half of her work she treated animals
(Mongolian gerbils) with fluoride at a crack pineal gland research unit at the University of Surrey, UK (so there is no question
about the quality of this work). She found that melatonin production (as measured by the concentration of a melatonin
metabolite in the urine) was lower in the animals treated with high fluoride levels compared with those treated with low levels."

interesting stuff. i drink a lot of water on a daily basis, i try and do bottled water (more for taste), and iced tea (of which i generally use tap water). as far as my teeth go, never noticed any problems. other problems associated with excessive flouride i do not know about with myself.

any info on how well items such as a brita filter can remove things such as flouride?

oh yeah, and to the person earlier that was talking about their well...

i'd be more concerned personally about nitrates in your water than flouride. it does not seem that flouride is generally in rural communities. when i was living with well water, our school did regular weekly flouride treatments for "compensation", a practice common here in nebraska. at any rate, well water tastes better.

if you do live in a farming community, definitely have your water tested for nitrates, and consider installing a filter for drinking water

Our water comes from a hole 550 feet deep in the front yard. Ain't no gubmint fluoride down there.
