Standard of living is the same here in Australia (arguably better) and the cost of living is far lower.

Man, we don't bid for immigrants. We have daily boatloads of illegals from Asia arriving daily in the hope that they can somehow jump the queue and get a piece of this action. We send them all back of course.

That varies GREATLY depending on where in Australia you are...

(which is true for most all countries)

But there are some nice areas there for sure.
