741euro is pretty expensive when they promissed to be in the 300 range. There is so much hate for oculus + facebook right now on their forums and fb page.

It's not that it's expensive, it's that:
1) It was SUPPOSED to cost around $350, instead it costs $600
2) For europe, it costs 700 euros so like $750
3) For canada it costs $850

It's billed in local currency, which makes it cheaper to buy one (excluding shipping) in Australia than the US. But then they whack $132 shipping onto the price.

If you go to checkout and select various countries you'll see you're always billed in local currency.

Shipping costs vary on stuff depending on how it's shipped and who the shipping company is.

I thought about it and i'm gonna wait a bit until some reviews come out. I will need to buy a new video card - they have thier recommendations as to minimum requirements but I want to wait and see some reviews to actually see if those requirements are realistic. I don't want to blow $800 on a video card now and then have it turn out to be too weak despite what it says on the site.
