Heckler and Koch fans rejoice! H&K company has been listening to you. A Document received by TFB, dated a week ago, show that Heckler & Koch GmbH (Germany) applied to Germany?s Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) to sell a semi-automatic version of the famous H&K MP5K and H&K MP5SD on the civilian market. The application was approved by the Police with some caveats. The new guns are called the HK SP5k and HK SC5SD. Exclusive: H&K Semi-Automatic HK SP5k (MP5K) and HK SC5SD (MP5SD) - The Firearm Blog |

Best case scenerio... take away the guns from the ones that want us to give up ours.
No more armed security for the parasitical elite. Let's see if they last more than 30 minutes. In Fact, the ONLY gun restriction should be on anybody and everybody that has ties to the federal government ![]() |

Dude, I'm tapping out of this conversation. You just don't get it. Do you know what, "HK MP5 SD 22LR" stands for? It stands for .22 long rifle...it's a modified version -- A FUCKING REPLICA of an MP5. This is copied from the description YOU pasted: "It is the only genuine HK tactical rimfire replica available in the world. " -- and it's made by Walther, not HK. Jesus man, are you even reading this shit or just seeing the headline and copy/pasting it? |

After modifications (most notably the relocation of the charging handle from under the carrying handle to the rear of the receiver), the redesigned rifle was adopted by the United States military as the M16 rifle. In 1963, Colt started selling the semi-automatic version of the M16 rifle as the Colt AR-15 for civilian use and the term has been used to refer to semiautomatic-only versions of the rifle since then.

It's a common tactic used to shift away from the fact that many States require no background check whatsoever for private party gun sales at gun shows. Instead of discussing that issue, they want to get into a pedantic argument as to firearm nomenclature...and they are often wrong about that too as evinced in this thread. |

Oh here's another hypo that would work at gun shows in Nevada and some other states:
Criminal: Gee I would love to buy that Sig Sauer P320 from you. But you are a licensed gun dealer right? And to buy from you I would need to go through a background check right? I don't want to do all that. Licensed gun dealer: Yes that is correct. But don't worry, if you don't want to go through a background check, you can still buy some of my guns that are in my "personal collection". These guns are not part of my business inventory, so you are not required to go through a background check to buy these guns right over here ...as long as I have no knowledge that you can't legally own guns (wink wink). |

Ok it's perfectly fine for you to have that belief. I simply posted a hypothetical scenario, and the Nevada/Federal law governing that scenario. Nothing in the Nevada or Federal law prohibits that hypo from legally occurring. |

"Another interesting angle to the ?gun show loophole? is the fact that some FFL dealers will sell their personal guns at the gun show, along with the guns of their business. The Federal Firearms License is a business license, and all guns acquired and sold by the FFL holder must be logged in and out of their ledger. This ledger must be exact and the FFL holder or business is subject at any time to random inspections by the ATF to ensure that their ledger is being correctly updated and kept up. At the gun show, a FFL dealer will have the guns of his business on display for sale -these guns are on his books and they are in his custody under his license as a FFL dealer. While he?s selling the guns of his business at the gun show, he may also sell his private collection on the side -acting as a private citizen. I?ve seen it several times where I was looking at a vender?s guns that he had for sale and when I was interested in buying it, he?d say ?well that gun is actually my own property, not on my books, and if you want that gun there is no background check because that is handled as a federal private party transfer. The rest of my guns are on my books and for those there of course is the paperwork and background check.? https://americanrifleman.wordpress.c...nd-other-laws/ |

At :22 into the video YOU posted, the reviewer actually says it's a FUCKING KNOCK OFF of a HK MP5! His exact words: "A lot of these, uh, tactical copies, or, you know, simulated to be something else are usually kinda, kinda cheesy and not very well built." - read that again REAL slow. Listen real close to the video if you have to. Let it soak in real good. You've already proven that can't read, and now you can't even listen properly. What part of replica do you not understand? A HK MP5 shoots 9mm rounds. That weapon is made by Walther, an distributed by Umarex and is .22 caliber. I'm seriously done here, this shit is hurting my brain. You need a lot of help with your comprehension skills and I have no patience for idiots. I honestly can't believe I stuck around this long. Go ahead and continue posting links and pictures and video reviews, because it's only cementing the fact that you're a fucking tard. Good day, Chap. ![]() |

Yes I know he said that. He was contrasting other clones against the fully licensed HK MP5 he was reviewing, which he says is well built. H&K fully licensed Walther to manufacture this fire arm and call it an HK MP5....so that's what it is. |

I said: "The HK MP5 can be purchased in semi-auto config." You replied no that is not possible..that an MP5 by definition is fully automatic. I then provided you with numerous sites indicating that there is indeed an HK MP5 in semi-auto config available to the public. And that's when you got all mad. |

This has gone too far... Let's let the Mp5 thing go. Yay, you found a loophole to argue and squabble about. Odd how you chose to go with the mp5 right off the bat, I assume, knowing that it would bring this argument about.
I personally couldn't care less about an mp5 and it's variations. What I want proof of is this ability to freely sell fully automatic weapons that would otherwise require federal approval.

If it's the same, why do they call it something different? Why is the Dodge Durango the exact same SUV as the Jeep Grand Cherokee? It's called marketing. They took a military assault rifle and modified to get around the laws to sell it to civilians.

Oh here's another hypo that is 100% legal:
Mental defective: Gee that silencer and short barrel rifle sure does look interesting. I wish I could buy those, but I don't want to submit to a background check, fingerprints, or law enforcement approval as required by Federal law. Gun seller: No worries. Just create a "gun trust", name yourself as trustee , and then have the gun trust purchase these weapons. Thus, you will not need to go through a background check or finger prints, because technically, you will not be the individual purchasing or owning these guns. Instead the gun trust you created will be the purchaser/owner. But as the trustee, you will still have full control of these weapons. |

Well, since it goes against everything I've known about purchasing Fully Automatic weapons. That's why I asked for proof. Citing. Law stating it to be true. News article about the issue among these shows. Anything with validity.
