This business being smut and what was said to have Mafia ties you would think that tube boys would have to keep hidden, Yet they walk freely around conventions and nobody seems to bother them.

I always found this to be odd, Anyone else?

Mauskopf alleged the defendants bilked internet users out of approximately $230 million by advertising bogus "free tours" of porno web sites owned by the defendants.

This is legal business and not the most lucrative one. So let me ask - why would mafia invest in this business instead of any other legal business? Any other business would even have extra value for them as they could portray themselves as legit businessmen (selling porn is "dirtier").

Ok, so what is the difference between that and any other "industry", other than that the big ones work from offices and plants rather than home (they still might get their desks from IKEA though).

GM and Ford are just a couple of companies building cars, entirely for themselves (themselves being the stockholders), etc etc. There is normally not much cooperation within an "industry" other than that which is forced upon them by regulation or market conditions.

I find this post hilarious because in my home office I have 3 Ikea desks and I bought them for 10 bucks each at a garage sale.
