Seymore Butts (aka Adam Glasser) is offering a $5,000 reward for information that helps find his 17 year old son Brady Glasser (aka Birdie). He is believed to be in the Portland, OR area.

I had my own place at the age of 17 and my own business. As long as foul play isn't involved or a drug addiction, the kid should just be left alone. Forcing a teen that is almost an adult back will do nothing positive to the parent child relationship.

As long as he wasn't kidnapped or something of that nature, it's best to just let it run it's course. I mean shit the kid is 4 months away from being an adult, if he is forced back against his will, what is the chance he wont just go again in 4 months.

I left home when I was 17, but my parents knew where I was (at motherfucking Great Lakes, Illinois, for Navy boot camp in January = minus zero wind chill factor), so I know a 17 year old can make it on their own and toughen the fuck up when they have to.

The back story indicates that he was not in immediate danger (not that I have the whole story):
