What do you think about Owners of bigger companies CHEATING
What do you think about Owners of bigger companies CHEATING the shows by claiming to be affiliates so they can get passes for free? They also do it for their employees. Ya I have issues with Christophe Rosin of profitsdeluxe as he lie's and cheats in everything he touches. He's made millions in the business and fly's first class but has to play stupid for free passes. This ends up driving up show prices for those of us that do pay. Every "free" affiliate share is paid by someone and that has to linked to higher pass prices. This is about the New Orleans show and I have already written him on this.
"I see your attending this show this should be interesting. Oh and I have reported you and Alex as cheaters in the system trying to pass yourself of as affiliates! I have a giant vendetta after the way you treated me and Fran and I will NEVER STOP ATTACKING YOU when you lie and steal from the community. Oh and now on to gfy, asshole!" Your Thoughts? ![]()

Larger Players always have called in for free tix, wether "fibbing" or calling in favors. Always has been, always will be. Its in a shows best interest to have as many big / successful companies and affiliates as they can. Just because someone CAN afford something, if they can get it for free why wouldn't they? If they keep giving out free passes, people will keep taking them. 2c
Shows aren't fooled by this, they know the drill. |

Also, many company owners in our industry are also affiliates.

I don't consider it cheating as program owners are affiliates for other programs. Any program owner who doesn't use their member's area to sell memberships to other sites is a fool.

So why should anyone bother paying to go, if they should be getting in for free cause others are cheating the system too? I suppose everyone should get in free to all shows then, hey I'm good with that! Phoenix use to be free now even affiliates pay like $300. The more people that get in free the more they have to charge those that pay to cover those costs. Or should we just expect the bigger companies to pay for everyone and go back to just a very few shows? I'm not gonna lose any sleep I promise you that, I just know what the guy makes and don't agree with it being ok because others do it. my 2cents

$300 - ticket
$300 - 2 nights room $200 - food $200 - extras If you spend $1,000 to attend a show and you can't make that back from the business, deals and new relationships you generate at a show, then no....you shouldn't go. Or if you are starting out then chalk it up to cost of building a business. Compared to a lot of other industries these shows are virtually free. Especially compared to the revenue you can make if you hammer out ANY decent business. |

![]() ![]() ![]() A friend of mine is a lawyer and their One Day seminar/colloquy is somewhat 800-900$ just for admission, with a small buffet and ONE glass of wine at the 5 to 6 cocktail... As for affiliate, if an affiliate can't afford a 120$ badge (in our case) you probably don't want him an an affiliate anyway. Just the amount of free booze one will enjoy during the week-end is way over the cost of a badge ... |

You have started multiple threads about this guy now. I'm sorry for your loss, and I'm certainly not saying that you should let him off the hook, but it would suit your own best interests by moving on and using your time in a more productive manner. This is accomplishing little and only hurting you.

It's actually always sort of bugged me when shows do the free affiliate thing. I've always paid, but been irritated because I'm sure I push more affiliate sales than a lot of people jumping on that comp train. Most people who run programs do. I do kind of think they should just comp industry and not make it complicated.
