Why France/Germany is pro Iraq -Answer!

selected quotes from here

France is home to some 5-6 million Muslims ? the largest population in western Europe

Quote:
Muslims engage disproportionately in criminal activity, and mostly of a violent nature.

Quote:
One prominent journalist in Paris told me he thinks that France may change from what it is into an Arab and Muslim country in the course of the next century

Quote:
As a post-Christian country, he sees the French lacking the will to maintain their own against the powerful wishes of the Muslim immigrants

Som interesting stuff here too

Quote:
Germany, which has welcomed "guest workers" from the Middle East for decades, there are now some 3 million Muslims

Quote:
Germany served as what the New York Times calls "the haven of choice" for the terrorists who plotted and carried out the Sept. 11
Quote:
some 5 million Muslims now live, the enemy is within the gates. "Bin Laden for President!" shout Arab sympathizers of the mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks, as Agence France Presse reported last week
life is a bitch when your voters are terrorist I guess

The majority of people in every country in the world, that I have seen poll results for, except for Kuwait and Israel, are against a unilateral war. That includes the United States.

These "France" threads are great for showing us who has been listening to talk radio.

France, Germany, Russia and China all have their own oil interests in Iraq. Five years ago, my Brother in law that works in military intelligence, told me that WWIII would start with N. Korea. It is all oil in the case of Iraq, but has any war ever been fought over "good vs. bad" other than " I want what you have"? No. It protects the dollar against the Euro, which is for our better. N. Korea is a real threat about "good vs. evil".

It's quite simple

China/Russia/France's oil issues aside

the reason France is leading the charge is so that Chirac makes political gains internally with his large voting muslim population

a country who has not been a world power since napoleon has no business holding a veto in the UN. That being said it is a permanent member, and cannot be voted out and all of the other permanent members including France -vote that france be ousted

France has never given a hoot about the morality of war, if it did, it wouldn't continue to sell its arms to brutal regimes and 3rd world banana republics

Russian and China to this day continue to sell arms to North Korea

simplistic views that these countries are just anti-american isn't quite correct

they are more anti-political losses and anti-economic loses however skewed it may be presented in the media

the worst problem is that the Un will likely be rendered useless, and as a result lots of little wars will sprout up, unchecked

Exactly, France and Russia are worried about there multi billion dollar oil contracts with IRAQ and are being total asses about this war, dunno I think there a bunch of dickheads getting in the bad books of the USA just for a few billion dollars worth of OIL contracts. Yes USA is probably mainly going to IRAQ for the OIL, but yes its also a good thing to take out IRAQ who is a HUGE enemy of the USA and who wouldn't think twice about helping giving Terriorists a dirty bomb or bio weapons if they were going to use it against the USA. Sure you might say Bush is the bad guy, but he will be liberating IRAQ not conquering it. The IRAQ people will again fullorish and without a dictator ruining there lives they can improve there quality of living 100 fold.

Then After IRAQ, I think the US is gonna have to bitch slap N Korea before they perfect those 3 stage nukes and can threaten the entire USA with real nukes. And that missile defence system hasn't got a damn chance of hitting even 1 missle even once they have it ready. I read in Time that the misslile defence system works only 50% of the time in hitting the missle and the missle intercepting the forgein missle is fed exact corodinates to it from the incoming missle telling it where it is. Its going to take them another 20+ years before they can perfect that missile shield.

N Korea selling nukes to every damn Arab country that wants them for 2 billion a pop isn't going to go down well with the USA either. I'd be surprised if the USA doesn't somehow block N Korea from selling its missiles and thats just going to cause a whole bunch of shit when that happens.

god damn you conspiracy theorists with France and Iraqi oil contracts. Present some proof please.

This is a quote from the French ambassador to the US.

Quote:
Second, oil. We buy 8 percent of Iraqi oil. The U.S. is buying -- the latest statistic to my knowledge -- 56 percent of Iraqi oil. I could go on like that. It's a question that I know well. Iraq is not an important partner for France. It doesn't mean that it is not an important partner for everybody in the future. But now, the only possibilities for trade are oil-for-food. There is no possibility to invest in the oil industry. This is forbidden -- no signature of contracts, and so on and so forth.

First of all Germany and France are not pro Iraq, they are anit War. Even if they were pro Iraq... then you could say Russia and China are pro Iraq too, what are there reasons?

Either way, all those nations are anti war.

Compare the populations.

France: 61.1m (2002)

USA: 284,796,887 (2001)

I'm not sure waht the guy meant by "we buy 8 percent of Iraq oil"... does he mean 8% of the TOTAL oil they buy annually comes from Iraq? Or they buy 8% of the total oil that IRAQ EXPORTS? Either way... compare the popultations.

France has damn near as much interest in that oil as we do per capita & I'm sure Germany isn't that far off either

Irrergardless of the war being about oil or not, that guy is totally making light of their interests in Iraqi oil. They use/buy 8% because that is what they need. And it's not free.

Muslims and Arabs are to Europe what black people are to USA.
Sometimes a cause for concern due to crime and stuff, but still citizens.

Don't compare African Americans to those pieces of shit. African Americans contribute a whole fucking lot more to America than those fuckers do to any country they infiltrate.

Here's the $64,000 question? What the fuck are all those dirtbags running away from their homeland for to go live in the United States, France, Canada, Germany, England etc?
Life must not be too sweet over there? Why? With all that oil money you'd think great societies could be built. But not when you're run by a bunch of oil tyrants and religious lunatics who would rather preach hate and Jihad rather than getting on with the business of progress and providing futures for their children and grandchildren.

Gimme Michael Jordan, Chris Rock, Snoop Dogg and all the rest over some piece of shit Mohammad plotting the end of the world behind his Slurpee machine.

not saying all Muslims are terrorists but the rest of them better start ratting out the evil doers or deal with being painted with the same big brush.

Well, it's very simple actually, cut your card diagonally, start the incision under the hear and move along to the next hear with a swift move.

The answer to the question; "Why are France and Germany pro Iraq" is very simple. They both have large oil contracts with Iraq and they know that if the United States take over Iraq, they can say "Bye BYe" to those contracts which most likely would be taken over by US companies. Furthermore, some new information came to light within the past 48 hours; it seems that France has been selling spare parts to Iraq to fix up their French Mirage jet fighter, the story has been broke by the Washington Post. If confirmed it would make France look pretty dumb in the eye of world opinion.

And yes Rip, you are right. One of my last analysis stated that around 2050, France and Belgium would most likely have a Muslim majority. As for Germany, I don't think they'll let the Arabs take over, they are a proud people (we found out the hard way ): ) unlike the French who are spineless.

i think shroeder the german president had to form a coallition government with the green party in germany to remain in power, hence his anti war stance. and france and russia have the big oil deals which they know they'll lose after the war hence their opposition.

i think there's very few countries that are taking a stand against war becuase of moral issues, it's all about money. some innocent iraqis might die in the war which is a shame but how many die under sadam's rule during peace time anyway, a whole lot more.

It's very obvoius who -wants- to control Iraq's oil this time, the result of their previous attempt led to saddam being in power today -didn't it?

Quote:
In Feb. 1919, Sir Arthur Hirtzel, a top British colonial official, warned his associates: "It should be borne in mind that the Standard Oil Company is very anxious to take over Iraq." (quoted in Peter Sluglett, Britain in Iraq, 1914-32, London, 1974)
Quote:
Iraq's oil was split five ways: 23.75% each to Britain, France, Holland and the U.S., with the remaining 5% going to an oil baron named Caloste Gulbenkian, known as "Mr. Five-Percenter," who helped negotiate the agreement.
Quote:
In 1953, following the CIA coup that put the Shah (king), in power, the U.S. took control of Iran. By the mid-1950s, Iraq was jointly controlled by the U.S. and Britain.
Quote:
Washington set up the Baghdad Pact in 1955, which included their client regimes in Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Iraq, along with Britain
Quote:
Underlying Iraq's poverty was the simple fact that Iraq did not own its vast oil reserves.
Quote:
Exactly 0% of Iraq's oil belonged to Iraq, and that's how it was to stay until the revolution of 1958.
Quote:
on July 14, 1958, Iraq was rocked by a powerful social explosion. A military rebellion turned into a country-wide revolution. The king and his administration were suddenly gone
